  • Patent number: 6443537
Abstract: A cup-shaped diaphragm is inserted into a bore formed in a housing. An inlet opening of the bore is closed by a plug-like wall member. A conduit line extends obliquely with respect to an axis of the bore from an annular space formed between a cylindrical wall of the bore and a protruding portion of the plug-like wall member. The annular space is connected to a pressurizing control valve via the conduit line. A chamber, partitioned from the annular space by the cup-shaped diaphragm, serves as a damper chamber which has a diameter substantially equivalent to a diameter of the bore.

  • Patent number: 6443296
Abstract: A conveyor ratcheting apparatus for advancing a conveyor in one direction in discrete steps. A ratchet arm is pivotally supported on a frame. A ratchet actuator drives the arm reciprocally between first and second positions. A ratchet wheel is rotatably supported on the frame. Circumferentially spaced teeth are formed around an outer rim of the ratchet wheel. The ratchet arm sequentially engages each of the teeth and causes the ratchet wheel to rotate in one direction each time the ratchet arm engages one of the teeth and moves toward the second position from the first position. The ratchet arm disengages whenever the ratchet arm moves from the second position back toward the first position. A detent engagement member is supported on the frame and is moveable into engagement with one of four stop detents in the ratchet wheel when the first ratchet arm is in the second position.

  • Patent number: 6443540
Abstract: A vehicular brake control apparatus performs braking force limiting control for limiting, if the vehicle is in a predetermined driving state, braking forces applied to rear wheels of the vehicle in comparison with the braking forces applied to the front wheels. If it is judged during the braking force limiting control that the amount of braking operation by the driver has increased, the apparatus increases the braking forces applied to the rear wheels.

  • Patent number: 6431663
Abstract: To improve the control behavior of an anti-lock brake system, which also permits active braking intervention when the brake pedal is not applied, braking pressure is introduced into the wheel brake of the bend-outward front wheel, or asymmetrically into the wheel brakes of both front wheels upon identification of a cornering situation and simultaneous deceleration of the vehicle if additionally the slip on the bend-outward rear wheel exceeds the slip on the bend-outward front wheel. ‘Veering’ or overspinning of the vehicle is this way counteracted.

  • Patent number: 6422618
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for locking and unlocking a camper shell from the inside. The device can be purchased as an inexpensive after market part and easily and quickly installed without the need for expensive tooling. The device includes a handle having proximal and distal ends and fashioned with a lateral bore at its proximal end for connecting with a torsion bar already existing on the latching mechanism of the camper shell. The distal end of the handle includes a cam, pivotally connected thereto, which can move between a position which in which the cam is generally flush with the handle and other positions in which the cam extends laterally from the handle. A cam lock is provided to engage the cam and hold it in one or more selected positions, the positions providing corresponding amounts of lateral extension from the handle. The when extended, the cam prevents the handle from being turned, thereby preventing the camper shell from being opened.
