Abstract: A gateway device detects whether a node corresponding to each node identifier in a node identifier chain gets on-line, the chain including node identifiers of a head node, service node via which the head node accesses tail node, and the tail node. When each node gets on-line, the gateway device distributes, as a gateway device accessed by the head node, a first stream classifying strategy associated with the chain to device hardware, and forwards a received data stream which is from the head node to the tail node according to the chain based on the first stream classifying strategy. The gateway device distributes, as a gateway device accessed by the service node, a second stream classifying strategy associated with the chain to the device hardware, and forwards a received data stream which is from the head node to the tail node according to the chain based on the second stream classifying strategy.

  • Patent number: 10868731
Abstract: In one embodiment, a supervisory device for a software defined networking (SDN) fabric obtains telemetry data regarding congestion levels on a plurality of links in the SDN fabric. The supervisory device predicts seasonal congestion on a particular one of the plurality of links by using the telemetry data as input to a machine learning-based model. The supervisory device identifies a period of time associated with the predicted seasonal congestion on the particular link. The supervisory device initiates, in advance of the identified period of time, re-computation of equal-cost multi-path (ECMP) weights associated with the plurality of links that prevent occurrence of the predicted seasonal congestion on the particular link during the identified period of time.

  • Patent number: 10476622
Abstract: Systems, apparatus, user equipment (UE), evolved node B (eNB), computer readable media, and methods are described for license assisted access (LAA) communications on an unlicensed channel. The eNB determines if a subframe to be transmitted is a partial subframe, and if the subframe is not a partial subframe, constructs the subframe to contain both a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) at fixed symbol positions within the subframe. In further embodiments, the eNB determines if a last subframe of a downlink (DL) transmission burst to be transmitted is a partial subframe, and if the subframe is not a partial subframe, constructs the subframe to contain a discovery reference signal (DRS) for transmission.

  • Patent number: 10104497
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for detecting proximity of a client device to a base station in a wireless communication system. Example base station may include a proximity detector and an operation mode controller. The proximity detector may analyze a property of a signal transmitted by a client device to detect an envelope of the signal including a buzz-type waveform. If the envelope of the signal is determined to include a buzz-type waveform, the client device is determined to be within communication range of the base station. Further, the operation mode controller may convert a current operation mode of the base station to a particular operation mode that enables the base station to support communication by the client device. In some embodiments, the buzz-type waveform may be a waveform of an uplink control signal that is transmitted by the client device when it is not actively engaged in communication.

  • Patent number: 9948577
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method of configuring a managed hardware forwarding element (MHFE) that implements a logical forwarding element (LFE) of a logical network to handle address resolution requests (e.g., Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) requests) for multiple addresses (e.g., IP addresses) associated with a single network interface of the logical network. The method identifies a physical port of the MHFE with which the multiple addresses are to be associated. The physical port is coupled to an end machine (e.g., a virtual machine, server, container, etc.) of the logical network. The method then modifies associations stored at the MHFE to associate the physical port with the multiple addresses.
