Abstract: The invention relates to a device for measuring and/or detecting the internal pressure of lumens or flexible tubes. The inventive device has a cage which surrounds the outer wall of the lumen or the tube, and at least one sensor for measuring the force exerted on said cage by the internal pressure.
Abstract: The present invention includes a method for multiphase metering of multiphase flow. the method begins with reducing gas volume to about 20% or less, then pumping the flow stream through two meters, a cut meter and a mass flow meter, arranged in series. Computations may be made on the flow stream to determine net oil rate, water cut, and gas fraction in the flow stream.
Abstract: A method of processing image data to reproduce an image having good half-tone reproduction, sharpness, and details, through pulse modulation of a laser beam. In the method, the laser beam is turned on and off in accordance with the result of comparing an input image signal with a reference signal which has been frequency modulated in accordance with a shape feature of the input image signal. In the case of an image having low input contrast, the tone performance of an image output unit is improved by the mesh dots of the low spatial frequency. In the case of an image having high input contrast, an image having high sharpness and details is reproduced by the mesh dots of the high spatial frequency.
Abstract: A plurality of image arrays are sandwiched between a first and a second substrates. The common electrodes of the image arrays are connected to the first substrate; the individual electrodes of the image arrays are connected to the second substrate by flip chip connection. The image arrays are installed in holes of a spacer made by etching a metal plate. Plural lenses are installed in a lens plate made by etching a metal plate; the lens plate is secured to support members for positioning the lenses with respect to the image arrays. The image arrays include a plurality of light elements which may be either light emitter or light receiver elements.
Abstract: An actuator mechanism for a pencil carriage in which a motor is coupled to a lead holder to move the lead holder relative to a drawing media surface, a pusher mechanism moves a lead carried by an internal of the lead holder relative to the position of the lead holder and the drawing media surface independently of the movement of the lead holder and a plotter control and sensors coupled thereto are provided for synchronizing the operation of the motor and the pusher mechanism to control the position of the lead relative to the lead holder and the drawing media surface. In a particular embodiment, the pusher mechanism includes a pusher rod for engaging the lead, a movable rack and a pinion gear engaged therewith, the movable rack being coupled to the pusher rod to move the lead, and a motor for driving the pinion gear.
Abstract: A bar code printing apparatus includes a rotary. encoder for outputting encoder pulses in two different phases. The direction in which film is transported is discriminated by the encoder pulses and indicated by a forward direction pulse or a reverse direction pulse indicated for a predetermined length of transported film. A direction discriminating circuit comprises a clock pulse generator for generating clock pulses at a frequency higher than that at which the encoder pulse is output, a delay circuit for slightly delaying the clock pulse, a first latch circuit for latching one of the encoder pulses in synchronism with the clock pulse to output a transportation signal; a second latch circuit for outputting a latch condition signal; and two AND gates, each connected to the first and second latch circuits and the delay circuit, for outputting a forward direction pulse and a reverse direction pulse, respectively.
