The filter media pack includes a pleated filter media. The first support element includes a connecting member that is coupled to the pleated filter media and includes at least a portion of a curved wall that curves above a central axis that extends substantially parallel to an insertion direction of the filter element into a filter housing. The first interface member is located at a distal end of the connecting member and defines a first support ledge that is disposed over the connecting member and that extends substantially parallel to the insertion direction.

Abstract: A filter assembly includes a ring of filter media, a first end cap, a second end cap, a first seal, and a second seal. The first end cap is coupled to a first end of the filter media. The second end cap is coupled to a second end of the filter media and includes (i) a radially extending portion having a first opening and (ii) a first axially extending portion having a stepped ledge defining a first inner diameter. The first seal is supported by the second end cap and includes a second opening defining a second inner diameter that is less than the first inner diameter. The second seal is supported by the second end cap and includes a third opening defining a third inner diameter that is greater than the first and second inner diameters. The stepped ledge is disposed between the first seal and the second seal.

The filter element comprises an outlet tube with a first sealing element, and a drainage plug with a second sealing element, said outlet tube and said drainage plug being positioned to sealingly engage with said first sealing zone and said second sealing zone, respectively, when the base receives the cover. An axial distance (A) between the first sealing element and the second sealing element is different from an axial distance (B) between an end of the first sealing zone and an end of the second sealing zone facing the filter element. The filter outlet includes a hydraulic resistance providing a fluid/liquid flow restriction between the inner volume and the housing outlet to increase the second pressure inside the inner filter volume and release the oil from the inner filter volume to the housing outlet at a third pressure lower than the second pressure.
