Abstract: A parking brake assembly which includes a lever (15) for operation of a brake shoe (11, 12) to provide a parking function. The lever (15) has an automatic latching device (21, 22, 23) for automatically latching to the lever (15) an end fitting (20) on an operating cable (19). The automatic latching device (21, 22, 23) comprises a flap (22) mounted on the lever (15) which is deflected aside by the end fitting (20) as the cable (19) is fed in a first direction towards the lever (15) and which latches behind an abutment (20a) on the end fitting (20) to latch the cable (19) to the lever (15) so that subsequent movement of the cable (19) in a second direction opposite to the first direction moves the lever (15) to opoerate the parking function.
Abstract: A rubber bearing with graduated damping characteristic has essentially a preferably cylindrical or approximately cylindrical inner part, a tubular outer sleeve arranged coaxially around the inner part as well as a pressure body with chambers for a damping agent. The pressure body is arranged in a fixed manner between the inner part and the outer sleeve. A rubber bearing which has a simple design and effectively damps forces introduced in different ranges of the characteristic due to its graduated damping characteristic is provided. The pressure body of the bearing is divided in the radial direction into a plurality of damping areas whose damping characteristics can be adjusted independently from one another by an intermediate sleeve arranged coaxially to the inner part and the outer sleeve.
Abstract: To provide a wheel support bearing assembly having a capability of detecting the number of revolutions of a wheel, having no risk of breaking of wire outside a vehicle body, capable of reducing the weight and cost of an automotive vehicle. This wheel support bearing assembly for rotatably supporting a wheel 13 relative to a vehicle body structure 12 includes an outer member 1 having its inner periphery formed with plural rows of raceways 6 and 7, an inner member 2 having raceways 8 and 9 confronting respectively to the raceways 6 and 7, and rows of rolling elements 3 accommodated respectively between the raceways. An electric generator 4 for generating an electric power as one of the outer and inner members 1 and 2 rotates relative to the other of the outer and inner members 1 and 2. A signal indicative of the number of revolutions of the wheel 13 outputted from the electric generator 4 is transmitted wireless by mean of a wireless transmitting means 5A.
Abstract: A security device for a sliding door or window assembly having a sliding panel in a frame. The device comprises a bar. A structure is for pivotally attaching a first end of the bar to an inner side edge of the panel. A fixed pin is secured longitudinally to a second end of the bar. The bar can pivot down one hundred and eighty degrees from an upright storage position to a downward locked position, allowing the fixed pin to engage with one of a plurality of spaced apart holes in a bottom track of the frame, thereby preventing the panel from being opened.
