  • Patent number: 5940349
Abstract: A watch with a face disposed over a watch module with a display presenting a plurality of functions is described. The watch face preferably is rigid and transparent and includes tactile portions that may be depressed to activate the functions that are presented on the display. The watch face has four tactile portions to activate four primary functions. The watch face can also be pressed in between the tactile portions to activate a four secondary functions. In a preferred embodiment, the watch face is secured to the module and module is mounted at a central pivot point in a base. The watch module has switches on its edge, one beneath each tactile portion, and a flexible seal that creates a waterproof region around the switches. The flexible seal also includes knobs, one for each switch, which close the associated switch when the associated tactile portion is depressed. A platform prevents straight-down depression of the watch that could cause more than two switches to close.

  • Patent number: 5930003
Abstract: A facsimile apparatus capable of managing memory-full status of an image memory on reception or transmission. The apparatus comprises a counter for counting available space of the image memory and function for determining the memory size of one page of received or read data and compares the memory size determined by a reception or reading mode such as "standard", "fine" and "super fine" with the available space of the image memory. If the available space of the image memory is smaller than the memory size requirement, the receiving or reading operation is interrupted or stopped by page unit, preventing problems such as degraded image due to interruption in mid-course of reading operation one page of original, a poor control procedure in reception operation and wasted communication.

  • Patent number: 5920996
Abstract: The above objects and advantages are provided for in improved archery bow sight assembly which provides a floating two-pin sight system for sighting a target. According to the invention, a sight assembly body having a forward portion and rear portion is attached directly to the bow. Pivotally attached to the front portion is a floating sight pin. Pivotally attached to the rear portion is a floating peep sight. Movement of the sight pin and peep sight is caused by a sight adjustment lever. Gear teeth on the sight adjustment lever are meshingly engaged with gear teeth on the peep sight arm. The gear teeth of the adjustment lever are indirectly engaged with the sight pin arm via idler gears. This arrangement allows the peep sight and sight pin to move in the same direction as the sight adjustment lever is manipulated.
