  • Patent number: 9863142
Abstract: A plurality of metalogs form a freestanding wall or fence, or structure comprising walls, upper floors whenever applicable and/or roof of a building. Each metalog has an axis. A stiffener extends through a set of aligned holes in the metalogs at right angles to the axes. One or more additional stiffeners may similarly extend through one or more additional sets of aligned holes in the same metalogs. The stiffeners function to resist forces acting in a direction parallel to the axes of the metalogs and therefore enhance the stability of the structure and obviate otherwise required X-bracing.

  • Patent number: 9835343
Abstract: A system for controlling ambient temperatures of exposed structures using phase change materials and/or tempered liquid delivery systems. Phase change materials may be fabricated to hold the surrounding temperature at a desired temperature, such as 70 degrees Fahrenheit/21 degrees Celsius. As the heat load rises above this desired temperature, the heat is absorbed into the phase change material until that material has completely transitioned through its phase change, after which it will no longer absorb heat load. As the temperature then cools off at night, the heat is released from the phase change material, and the material changes back into its original phase. Phase change material may be placed within or on the exterior of stadium chairs. A liquid piping system may also be used to provide ambient heat control, including liquid piping for piping temperature-controlled liquid throughout the stadium while preventing condensation.

  • Patent number: 9808612
Abstract: In an embodiment, a connector or connector assembly for attaching a nasal cannula with a gas delivery hose includes a sensor port for a sensor probe positioned near an end of a nasal cannula, which can allow the sensor probe to be placed closer to the patient's nostrils than previous connector parts allowed. The connector can be configured to advantageously allow the nasal cannula to rotate relative to the gas delivery hose, thereby allowing a patient or healthcare provider to untangle or otherwise straighten the hose or the cannula. The connector assembly can be configured to automatically align locking protrusions on a first component with locking recesses on a second component, where insertion of the second component within the first component causes the second component to rotate relative to the first component, thereby aligning the locking protrusions with associated locking recesses.
