Abstract: In a clinical decision support method, outputs of computer-implemented analytical modules are computed for a patient. Information is displayed for the patient pertaining to a clinical question comprising outputs computed for the patient of analytical modules associated with the clinical question. The analytical modules may include modules configured to perform in silico genetic/genomic tests using genetic/genome sequencing (whole genome, whole exome, whole transcriptome, targeted gene panels, etc) or microarray data. A clinical question-module matrix (CQ-M matrix) may be generated for the patient associating clinical questions with analytical modules, and the method may further include populating the clinical questions with outputs computed for the patient of the analytical modules associated with the clinical questions by the CQ-M matrix.

Abstract: This invention describes a system and method to provide a service to advertisers and businesses that enables adaptation of advertising priorities using information collected by a lighting infrastructure. The system uses outdoor lighting networks to manage/control data sensors connected to a network, e.g. hosted at lighting units. This invention enables new business scenarios where operators and/or owners of the city's lighting infrastructure can provide a value added service or generate revenue from ad providers and local businesses by leveraging the data acquired through the lighting and adjacent infrastructure (e.g. sensors) to help the businesses to increase their advertising performance/targets; particularly, with respect to Location Based Services (LBS).

Abstract: A method for conveying application information for power tools is disclosed. In one embodiment, information describing a task which is to be performed by a handheld tool is accessed. In one embodiment, the handheld tool is a power tool. Based upon the information describing the task, at least one operating parameter for performing the task is conveyed to the handheld tool. The handheld tool is then configured with the at least one operating parameter prior to initiating the task.

Abstract: A system is provided for qualifying and analyzing data for at least one business intelligence. A platform receives source data. A data management system transforms raw data and stores it. An analytic engine is included. In operation the data management system receives first, second, and third streams of source data. The first stream is client source data, the second stream is public source data and the third stream is acquired by the data management system. The data management system organizes the first, second and third streams of data into items and their attributes. The analytic engine receives the items with their attributes from the data management system and applies logic to provide multi-dimensional analysis relative to a scale for at least one business intelligence.

Abstract: A computer system for processing vehicle ownership support data includes an infrastructure platform which includes a plurality of hardware and software components, infrastructure services, APIs, and SDKs adapted to communicate in a communication network. The infrastructure platform receives telematics data such as vehicle identification data, driving performance data, vehicle operation data and vehicle sensor data for a corresponding vehicle. Such telematics data can be received from a vehicle device (Onboard Device (OBD)), or from a cloud-based telematics platform. The infrastructure platform identifies vehicle ownership support services associated with the at least one vehicle and analyzes the received telematics data associated with the identified services. The infrastructure platform provides vehicle ownership support services to a mobile application accessible at a customer's mobile device associated with the vehicle or the customer.

Abstract: Techniques for managing service definitions in an intelligent workload management system are provided. Workloads and software products are assembled as a single unit with custom configuration settings. The single unit represents a recallable and reusable service definition for a service that can be custom deployed within designated cloud processing environments.

Abstract: A business method associates provisioning costs with a usage history indicative of user computing demand, and coalesces the cost data to identify an appropriate provisioning level balancing the provisioning cost and the usage demand cost. Conventional computing environments suffer from the shortcoming of being prone to overprovisioning or underprovisioning a user. Such misprovisioning is inefficient because it denotes underutilized computing resources or ineffective and/or disgruntled users. Costs increase either due to the excessive hardware bestowed on the overprovisioned user, or in support costs addressing the underprovisioned user. Configurations herein substantially overcome such shortcomings by defining a policy indicative of overprovisioning and underprovisioning indicators (misprovisioning flags), and defining rules to specify a triggering event indicating the need to reassess the provisioning of a user.

Abstract: A companion advertisement is displayed on a control client which is also used to control the content being shown on a display client. The companion advertisement is related to a video or advertisement being displayed on the display client. Such a companion advertisement takes advantage of previously unused screen real estate and enables the user to interact with the advertisement or view further information without any interruption of the content being displayed on the display client. A server keeps the content displayed on the display client and control client synchronized. The server recognizes when a user is logged into both a display client and a control client and notifies the control client that an advertisement should be displayed. The control client then retrieves an advertisement related to the content on the display client.

Abstract: A consumer portal enables consumers to review data collected about those consumers in a privacy-protected manner, through authentication using personally identifiable information (PII) and a linking service supported by a marketing database. Once consumers review this data, they may then edit this data or determine whether they wish it to be used for marketing purposes. They are also presented with various opt-out facilities. The consumer portal is accessible by computers, tablets, smartphones, and other computing devices with Internet-access capabilities.

Abstract: A computer readable medium, a file server, and a method for outcome-based mapping provide a marketing blueprint for aligning marketing activities to quantifiable business outcomes. In one form, the computer readable medium includes instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to generate a graphical user interface including text, a plurality of user-selectable options, and text input fields. The graphical user interface prompts a user through a process of defining a business outcome-based marketing program. The instructions, when executed, also cause the processor to receive user input corresponding to the graphical user interface defining quantifiable business outcomes and associated marketing tasks, and to map the associated marketing tasks to the quantifiable business outcomes to produce a marketing blueprint.

Abstract: A system is provided which that allows users of electronic communication systems and/or calendar systems the ability to suggest meetings to users of different electronic communication systems and/or calendar systems via electronic messages. The system may provide users with the ability to share calendar availability with users of other electronic communication systems and/or calendar systems via electronic message. One aspect of the disclosed system is the fact that users can share interactive calendar information, and propose and confirm tentative meetings and events, with users of different electronic communications and/or calendar systems. Additionally, calendar information that is shared with others may be dynamically updated even after the electronic messages have been sent.

Abstract: A method of improving operation of a petroleum reservoir using geotechnical analysis includes classifying a petroleum reservoir using a Reservoir Ranking Analysis (RRA) and then making one or modifications to the operation of the reservoir. RRA classification includes establishing reservoir classification metrics for at least resource size and recovery potential, and optionally profitability. The reservoir can be classified based on at least one metric in the profitability classification category, and also based on at least one metric in one or more of the resource size classification category or the recovery potential classification category. Classification of reservoirs can aid in reservoir management, planning, and development.

Abstract: Techniques are described for providing selective access to secure physical and/or logical domains for agents that need to perform work in those domains. A work order will detail work to be performed by one or more agents, such as a technician or software agent, that will need access to protected domains to perform the work, and the tasks requiring agent access to the protected domains are controlled and completion thereof verified. Interaction with a monitoring/security system for the protected physical domains occurs to selectively allow access of the agent to the protected domain(s) as needed for the tasks. Abstract: The invention includes systems and methods that permit users to research, identify and compare geographical regions for purposes of business formation, expansion or relocation decision making. The systems and methods include receiving, compiling and formatting data from a plurality of sources for use in the GIS system, populating a searchable database with the GIS data, and enabling the user to search the data using demographic, economic and other search parameters to identify and compare geographic locations of interest. The data further includes information provided by participating economic development organizations, enabling such data to be included in user search parameters, and permitting such third parties to provide commentary on regional data, and to market their regions and services to prospective businesses.

The method includes analyzing a business process model to identify a plurality of activities and at least one transition criterion between the plurality of activities, where the business process model is unbounded to a physical implementation. The method also includes transforming the business process model into a three-dimensional virtual reality environment with virtual physical constraints, including a plurality of virtual rooms representing the plurality of activities and one or more virtual access points to the virtual rooms representing the at least one transition criterion. The method further includes outputting the three-dimensional virtual reality environment.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a memory and a processor. The memory stores job information including execution order information of a plurality of jobs. With respect to each of the plurality of jobs, the processor calculates the number of preceding jobs that hand over processed data to the job and the number of succeeding jobs that take over the processed data from the job, on the basis of the job information. The processor generates a graph that selectively displays selected jobs from the plurality of jobs on the basis of the number of preceding jobs and the number of succeeding jobs.

First data captured via an end-user communication device may correspond to one or more sensor inputs. A set of qualification rules that includes a set of criteria for qualifying advisees based at least in part on captured data relating to advisees may be accessed. A first set of information for the first advisee may be derived based at least in part on the first data and the set of qualification rules. The first set of information may include a first characterization of the first advisee. Indication, to a computing device of the advisor, of the first characterization of the first advisee may be caused at a time corresponding to the communication connection between the advisor and the first advisee.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides an energy-asset control system for utilizing an energy asset to provide one of more modes of operation services. The system includes an economic optimizer configured to identify at least one mode of operation opportunity based on current and/or future market conditions; a prognostics module configured to perform a prognostic analysis associated with the mode of operation opportunity for the energy asset using an existing model, and determine a confidence level associated with the prognostic analysis; and an operation controller. The economic optimizer is further to configured to, in response to the prognostics module determining the confidence level exceeding a predetermined threshold, determine an expected profit of the mode of operation opportunity based on outcomes of the prognostic analysis; and optimize, over a predetermined time period, a usage of the energy asset based on the expected profit of the mode of operation opportunity.

Abstract: A cloud infrastructure system includes one or more computing devices and is configured to receive subscription order information related to one or more services subscribed to by a customer of the cloud infrastructure system, the service selected from one or more services provided by the cloud infrastructure system. The cloud infrastructure system receives a set of one or more mapping rules configured to map business attributes to resource provisioning information for one or more of the one or more services provided by the cloud infrastructure system. The cloud infrastructure system determines whether one or more business attributes in the subscription order information satisfy one or more mapping rules in the set of mapping rules and generates resource provisioning information for one or more resources associated with the one or more services based on resource provisioning information in the one or more mapping rules satisfied by the one or more business attributes in the subscription order information.
