Abstract: Some embodiments provide novel inline switches that distribute data messages from source compute nodes (SCNs) to different groups of destination service compute nodes (DSCNs). In some embodiments, the inline switches are deployed in the source compute nodes datapaths (e.g., egress datapath). The inline switches in some embodiments are service switches that (1) receive data messages from the SCNs, (2) identify service nodes in a service-node cluster for processing the data messages based on service policies that the switches implement, and (3) use tunnels to send the received data messages to their identified service nodes. Alternatively, or conjunctively, the inline service switches of some embodiments (1) identify service-nodes cluster for processing the data messages based on service policies that the switches implement, and (2) use tunnels to send the received data messages to the identified service-node clusters.
Abstract: Embedded Performance Monitoring is an “out-of-box” approach for performance monitoring of a DBMS. Performance monitoring of a DBMS is achieved through use of a browser to access the DBMS once a DBMS is installed and configured. The approach exploits a DBMS configured with the native capability to provide performance monitoring data and software via a browser. To retrieve and use the performance monitoring data from the DBMS, a browser executes software downloaded to the browser from the DBMS using web-based technologies.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for providing a video stream to one or more communication sessions. In one implementation, the system may include a video recording device, a memory storing instructions, and a processor configured to execute the instructions. The instructions may comprise instructions to activate the video recording device and receive a video stream therefrom, buffer the video stream in an allocated portion of the memory, allow access to the buffered video stream for use in a first communications session, continue buffering the video stream after the buffered video stream has been accessed for use in the first communications session, and allow access to the buffered video stream for use in a second communications session.
Abstract: In the case where a user changes a setting value, such as an IP address, in a client device equipped with a server function, the setting value as a server is changed, and as a result of this, it is no longer possible to implement synchronization processing with the client.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for migrating data from a first storage system to a second storage system. That data is for a process (e.g., a virtual machine, application, or some other process) operating on a computer system that is separate from the first storage system and the second storage system. That data is stored according to data subsets that are each exclusive of each other. As each data set is migrated, access to the data set by the process is precluded, but access for the remaining data sets is not affected. Once the data migration is complete, access to the data set by the process is restored.
Abstract: An implementation involves a push notification system receiving, from an application server, a request to serve to a client device a push notification, the request including push notification identity information. The implementation further involves the push notification system transmitting to the client device in response to the received request, a push notification. The implementation further comprises the push notification system receiving, from an operating system of the client device, information related to whether and how a user of the client device interacted with the push notification. The implementation further involves determining, by the push notification system, based at least in part on the information related to whether and how the user interacted with the push notification, whether to transmit a request to the message creation system to create and serve a targeted message.
Abstract: A gateway is configured to perform a method that includes receiving data from a first device using a first protocol. The first protocol is a cloud based protocol. The method also includes determining that the received data is intended for a second device that uses a second protocol. The method further includes converting the received data from the first protocol to the second protocol. In addition, the method includes transmitting the received data to the second device via the second protocol.

Abstract: An example method is provided for a host to perform network configuration health check in a virtualized computing environment. The method may include selecting a source NIC and one or more destination NICs, based on a first network configuration of the host, generating one or more unicast probe packets that are addressed from the source NIC to the respective one or more destination NICs, and sending the one or more unicast probe packets to the respective one or more destination NICs from the source NIC via a physical switch connected to the host. The method may also include in response to receiving the one or more unicast probe packets from the physical switch, determining that there is a match between the first network configuration and a second network configuration, but otherwise, determining that there is a mismatch between the first network configuration and second network configuration.
Abstract: An apparatus for outputting a message alert is provided, comprising a processor configured to: receive a message; determine whether the message includes an attachment file; and responsive to determining that the message includes the attachment file, output sound contained in the attachment file as a message alert for the message.
Abstract: An online system receives third party hashes for a plurality of targeted users and generates local hashes for one or more local users of the online system. The online system identifies as matched users those local users with local hashes that match those of the third party hashes. The online system generates one or more inferred identifiers for each of the one or more local users, the inferred identifiers being of the same type as the local unique identifiers, and the inferred identifiers generated based on characteristics of each corresponding local user. The online system identifies as inferred matched users at least one of the local users that have local hashes of corresponding inferred identifiers that match a third party hash of a third party unique identifier. The online system provides, to a third party system, a selection including the matched users and a selection including the inferred matched users.
Abstract: An intelligent information delivery system facilitates dynamic interaction with the user's environment, and in certain environments may provide or support digital governance. The intelligent delivery system may make use of a distributed beacon network to accurately determine the user's location within an environment, which may then be leveraged to deliver relevant content to the user. The intelligent delivery system may also facilitate complex interactions between a user of the system and the user's environment.

Abstract: A cluster computer server is configured after a system reset or other configuration event. Each node of a fabric of the cluster compute server is employed, for purposes of configuration, as a cell in a cellular automaton, thereby obviating the need for a special configuration network to communicate configuration information from a central management unit. Instead, the nodes communicate configuration information using the same fabric interconnect that is used to communicate messages during normal execution of software services at the nodes.

Abstract: Label distribution protocol (LDP) signaled label-switched paths (LSPs) are supported without requiring information about remote autonomous systems (ASs) to be injected into the local interior gateway protocol (IGP). This may be done by (i) decoupling a forwarding equivalency class (FEC) element from the routing information, and (ii) specifying a next hop on which the FEC relies. An LDP messaging structure (e.g., an LDP type-length-value (TLV)) that includes a label, FEC information (e.g., a host address or prefix of an egress LSR of the LSP) and a next hop (e.g., a host address or prefix of a border node, such as an AS border router (ASBR)) may be provided. This messaging structure may be included in one or more of (a) label mapping messages, (b) label withdraw messages, and (c) label release messages.
