  • Patent number: 11399082
Abstract: A client node may execute an application that communicates with a first messaging service component of a first broker node in a server segment and a second messaging service component of a second broker node in the server segment. A load balancing component is coupled to the client node, and a first virtual provider entity for the first messaging service component is coupled to the load balancing component. The first virtual provider entity may represent a first HA message broker pair, including: (i) a first leader message broker entity, and (ii) a first follower message broker entity to take control when there is a problem with the first leader message broker entity. A shared database is accessible by the first broker node, the first HA message broker pair, and the second broker node, and includes an administration registry data store.

  • Patent number: 11399057
Abstract: Solutions for enabling analytics for a virtualized application leverage reproducibility of information as a substitute for persisting information. Disclosed solutions include: collecting, by a virtualized application, first analytics data on a user equipment (UE); performing, by the virtualized application, a one-way function (e.g., a hash function) on persistent information (e.g., an international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) number) on the UE to generate a unique UE identification (ID); transmitting the first analytics data and the UE ID to a remote node across a network; collecting, by the virtualized application, second analytics data on the UE; and transmitting the second analytics data and the UE ID to the remote node across the network. Because the UE ID is deterministic, it may be generated repeatedly, as needed, (producing the same value each time) to compensate for the inability of the virtualized application to persist the UE ID on the UE.

  • Patent number: 11388225
Abstract: Techniques for load balancing encrypted traffic based on security parameter index (SPI) values of packet headers and sets of 5-tuple values of the packet headers are described herein. Additionally, techniques for including quality of service (QoS)-type information in SPI value fields of packet headers are also described herein. The QoS-type information may indicate a particular traffic class according to which the packet is to be handled. Further, techniques for pre-configuring a backend host such that encrypted traffic may be migrated to the backend host from another backend host without causing temporary service disruptions are also described herein.

  • Patent number: 11381532
Abstract: A group-based communication platform can present, via a client device of the group-based communication platform, a user interface that includes a user interface element, interaction therewith, invoking a command associated with an external system. Based at partly on receiving an indication of an interaction with the user interface element, the group-based communication platform can cause payload data to be provided to the external system, wherein the payload data is associated with an indication of the command invoked via the interaction. Based at least partly on causing the payload data to be provided to the external system, a response to the payload data can be received and an interactive dialog can be presented via the user interface. The interactive dialog can be configured to prompt a user of the client device for data to be provided to the external system for performing a processing action associated with the command.

  • Patent number: 11356295
Abstract: Examples described herein include systems and methods for creating a per-app virtual private network (“VPN”) using hooking, even though an isolated process is used for networking functions. The isolated process can include networking functions of the WebView class for ANDROID. The application can start an HTTP proxy server to receive local HTTP requests. Then, the application can trigger a broadcast to the isolated process, causing the isolated process to route its HTTP requests to the HTTP proxy of the application. The application can then hook HTTP requests and send them to a virtual private network (“VPN”) tunnel server. This can allow an application to securely connect to enterprise files or data even though the networking functions occur in the isolated process.

  • Patent number: 11349937
Abstract: Techniques are provided for passive management of network connections. In an example, a cluster node determines to migrate its client connections to other nodes of its cluster. The cluster node can determine whether a client implements an always resolving policy (regarding resolving a domain name of the cluster), a cache resolving policy, or a resolve once policy. Where the node disconnects a client and it does not reconnect (because a domain name service (DNS) server no longer resolves a domain name to the node), the client implements an always resolving policy. Where the node eventually stops reconnecting, the client implements a cache resolving policy. After nodes of those types are migrated, nodes that implement a resolve once policy. The node can migrate these clients by disconnecting them in coordinating with stopping accepting connections. This can lead to non-disruptive migration of all clients.

Abstract: Computer-implemented systems and methods for diagnosing and correcting connectivity problems in a network are provided. The method includes obtaining, at a network node disposed at an edge of the network, measurements of one or more attributes of network traffic exchanged between a content server and a client device via the network. The network traffic is associated with streaming video content transmitted from the content server to the client device over the network. The method also includes analyzing the one or more attributes of the network traffic to estimate Quality of Experience (QoE) performance metrics related to the streaming video content at the client device, and adjusting one or more network operating parameters of the network responsive to QoE performance metrics falling below a predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 11336733
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and software to enhance packet . In one implementation, a host computing element identifies a packet from a process executing on the host computing element. In response to identifying the packet, the host computing element determines whether the packet originates from a container namespace corresponding to a container on the host computing element or a host namespace corresponding to the host computing element. If the packet originates from a container namespace, the host computing element may determine supplemental information for the container associated with the container namespace, and process the packet based on the supplemental information.
