Abstract: The present invention relates to a curable photochromic composition that includes: (a) a photochromic compound; and (b) a segmented polymer that includes active hydrogen groups, at least one first segment, and at least one second segment, in which, (i) each first segment independently includes a (meth)acrylic polymer segment, and (ii) each second segment independently includes at least one of, a polycarbonate segment, a polyester segment, a polyether segment, a polyurethane segment, and combinations of two or more thereof. The curable photochromic composition further includes (c) a curing agent having reactive functional groups that are reactive with the active hydrogen groups of the segmented polymer (a), in which the curing agent includes at least one of, a polyisocyanate, a polyisothiocyanate, and an aminoplast. The present invention also relates to photochromic articles that include at least one layer formed from the curable photochromic composition of the present invention.

Abstract: A squarylium dye [A] that has high invisibility, i.e., exhibits low absorption in the visible light region (400 nm to 750 nm), has excellent near-infrared absorption capability and high light resistance, tends not to exhibit aggregations, and has specific X-ray diffraction peaks; and an image-forming material and the like containing the squarylium dye [A] having said characteristics. The problem is solved by a squarylium dye [A] having specific X-ray diffraction peaks represented by general formula (1). Moreover, the problem is also solved by various materials containing the squarylium dye [A].

Abstract: A ligand-modified quantum dot composition, a ligand-modified quantum dot layer, preparation methods thereof, and a quantum dot light emitting diode are provided. Segment B of the ligand modifier in the ligand-modified quantum dot composition is a chain-cleavable segment, that is, segment B is a longer molecular chain, so that the material has good solubility and stability, thus the ligand-modified quantum dot composition is present in the form of a solution or ink, etc. Segment B itself is not very stable and may be cleaved under certain conditions. In specific applications, the group in segment B may be cleaved by heating or illumination, so that the ligand modifier becomes a short molecular chain ligand, thereby making the quantum dots densely stack and improving the carrier transfer performance.
