Abstract: A disinfecting deodorant comprising an aqueous solution containing 10 to 1000 ppm of a chlorine-containing oxidizing agent and having a pH adjusted to 8 to 13 with an inorganic salt or an organic salt, a disinfecting and deodorizing method comprising applying the disinfecting deodorant to air or an object, and a disinfecting and deodorizing tool comprising a container having the disinfecting deodorant, the container being equipped with a prescribed atomizing means designed to atomize the disinfecting deodorant into a mist comprising droplets having a particle size of 10 ?m or smaller in a proportion of 2% or less in number in a particle frequency distribution.
