Abstract: Steering clients between access points (APs) or other sources of wireless signaling is contemplated. The client steering may be used to supplant or augment roaming capabilities of the clients with independent steering decisions made at the APs such as by utilizing information shared between the APs to generate a steering threshold for use in assessing whether clients should be steered from one AP to another.

Abstract: A network device (e.g., an evolved Node B (eNB), user equipment (UE) or the like) can operate to enable scheduling UL transmissions on transmission opportunities outside of the UL grants or for multi-carrier UL scheduling. A communication component of the device can operate to process or generate communications on an unlicensed band or a licensed band in response to UL grants and indications provided via a DL transmission for scheduling. An eNB can provide indications to a UE for processing that indicate whether a transmission opportunity is on the same transmission opportunity as the UL grants or an external/outside transmission opportunity. The indications can further trigger an listen-before-talk (LBT) protocol, which can vary between a category 4 LBT or a single LBT interval that is shorter than the category 4 LBT, depending on the indication.

Abstract: A communication device includes a forwarding processing unit configured to sort a telegram on the basis of processing content identification information included in header information of the telegram and a telegram processing unit configured to perform processing based on the processing content identification information on a payload of the telegram when the processing content identification information indicates processing in the communication device. The telegram processing unit can directly extract the payload of the telegram without performing protocol processing on the telegram and perform processing using the payload.
Abstract: According to a communication method and a base station that are provided in embodiments of the present invention, the base station transmits a broad beam that covers a sector of the base station and narrow beams whose coverage areas completely fall within a coverage area of the broad beam, which implements that under a premise that a coverage area of the sector of the base station maintains unchanged by using the broad beam, enhanced coverage of the sector is further achieved by using the narrow beams, thereby improving spectral efficiency. In the solutions, a sector coverage area of the broad beam transmitted by the base station still maintains unchanged, and therefore, a coverage relationship between sectors is not affected. In addition, neither an additional site backhaul resource nor additional standardization support is required in the solutions.

Abstract: Techniques for parallel testing of multiple mobile devices simultaneously at an MCellblock are described. In one example, an MCellblock receives a request to perform a test run on multiple mobile devices located at the MCellblock. The request includes multiple test scripts that can be used by the MCellblock to execute a test run on each of the multiple mobile devices. The MCellblock creates a thread for each of the multiple mobile devices to perform the test run. Then, the MCellblock performs the test run on each of the multiple mobile devices located at the MCellblock simultaneously via each of the threads. Performing the test run includes executing a test script on each of the respective multiple mobile devices. The MCellblock monitors the multiple mobile devices as the test run is performed for results of the test run, and outputs the results of the test run.

Abstract: A T-SDN controller including a T-LSP manager, a temporal path element, a T-TED, a T-LDB, a T-LSPDB, and a network interface. The T-LSP receives a path request including time intervals and a set of constraints. The temporal path element obtains traffic engineering information and computes a path satisfying time intervals and a set of constraints. The T-TED reserves bandwidth corresponding to the path during the time intervals upon request by the T-LSP manager. The T-LDB reserves labels for the links during the time intervals upon request by the T-LSP manager. The T-LSPDB stores the time intervals, the set of constraints, the labels, and the bandwidth. The network interface permits the T-LSP manager to communicate with the nodes in the network to establish a temporal LSP along the path as computed.
