Abstract: A high amperage underwater magnetic switch for A.C. electrical current. The magnetic switch circuit is incorporated into one of the three electrical conductors passing through an underwater electrical cable. The magnetic switch circuit has a triac and a magnetic reed switch in it. The magnetic switch circuit is located inside a tubular sleeve that has been filled with epoxy resin to make it waterproof. The switch may be manually operated externally by a magnet mounted on a sliding collar that surrounds the tubular sleeve.
Abstract: A corona wire cleaning device for a corona unit for cleaning corona wires stretched in a shield case, comprising: a driving wire wound on a driving pulley and an idle pulley for reciprocating motion along the length of the corona wire; and a cleaning member slidably mounted in the shield case for traveling motion in association with the reciprocating motion of the driving wire and having a cleaning tool which rubs and cleans the corona wire by the traveling motion thereof in one direction and which comes away from the corona wire by the traveling motion thereof in the other direction, whereby a foreign matter such as dust can be surely removed from the corona wire, thereby accomplishing reliable cleaning of the corona wire.
Abstract: An adjustable conductive body strap which is readily adjustable and which utilized an elastomerically extensible electrically conductive band held together and adapted to be joined to a grounding cord which makes 360.degree. electrical contact and continuity with the body is desired and this is accomplished by having one end of the band fastened by contact with a conductive plate which has teeth which penetrate the second end.

Abstract: A superconducting magnet apparatus comprising a superconducting main coil (1) for generating a uniform magnetic field and at least one superconducting shim coil (2a, 2b) electromagnetically coupled to the superconducting main coil (1) for increasing the uniformity of the magnetic field generated by the main coil (1). An emergency run down main coil heater element (21) is disposed adjacent to the main coil (1) for demagnetizing the latter, an emergency run down shim coil heater element (22a, 22b) is disposed in proximity of the shim coil (22a, 22b) for demagnetizing the latter, and a heater power source (24) is provided for supplying an electrical power to the heater elements (21,22a,22b). A switching unit (25,26,27) is connected between the heater elements (21,22a, 22b) and the heater power source (24) for connecting the heater power source (24) to the shim coil heater element (22a, 22b) and to the main coil heater element ( 21) at different time points with a predetermined time interval therebetween.
Abstract: A capacitive ratioing oscillator circuit utilizing a prior art pressure capsule, but through modification of the state variable oscillator circuit achieves a digital output which varies with the square root of the capacitance ratio C35 C.sub.p /C.sub.r. In this sensor the dielectric constant of the pressure media is measured in time with the pressure difference measurement. The oscillator includes a differentiator-inventor step herein each of capacitors C.sub.r and C.sub.
