Abstract: Described is an assembly for erecting a reinforced structure of a hardening building material using a pneumoform. The assembly includes an anchor bar having a first portion secured to a foundation and a second portion; a clamp bar configured to be aligned with the second portion of the anchor bar; a fixation element configured to extend through the clamp bar and the second portion of the anchor bar; and a pneumoform having an outer perimeter incorporating a keder. The outer perimeter of the pneumoform is positionable within a space between the second portion of the anchor bar and the clamp bar such that upon locking the clamp bar to the anchor bar with the fixation element the keder is captured by the clamp bar creating a first seal and forming a fluid-tight internal volume configured to be inflated. Related assemblies and methods are described.
Abstract: A pre-manufactured door buck or a kit of parts is used to install a pre-sized door buck in a wall that allows a standard sized door to be installed. The door buck can include a pair of side members and a header member. Each side member can have an aperture passing through the side member. The header member can have a first end with a first tenon and a second end with a second tenon. The door buck is constructed by inserting the first tenon and the second tenon through the apertures in the side members and secured in place. The assembled door buck defines a pre-determined sized opening in which a door can be installed.
Abstract: An apparatus supports objects on a level support plane above an underlying inclined surface, such as a vehicle seat. It comprises three or more substantially rectangular panels that are rotatably interconnected so as to form an isosceles triangular profile, in which the equal sides serve as support panels, and the shortest side is an elevation panel. Each support panel can incorporate one or more container retention structures on both its obverse and reverse surface. The apparatus is configurable, through the rotation of its panels, so that either surface of each support panel can provide the level support plane that supports objects.
Abstract: An improved, simpler, and more cost effective method for hanging multiple layers of curtaining with reduced damage to the casement of a window or of the walls around a window. An e-shaped hook (1) wraps around an existing bracket (3) utilized to hang a primary curtain rod. The hook (1) then extends down from the bracket (3) ending in a lateral prong at a right angle to the bracket (3) and perpendicular to the original curtain rod, pointing toward the center of the window. This prong is then inserted into the aperture of a telescoping rod with an internal spring adjustment referred to as a spring tension rod (2). The spring tension rod (2), due to its internal spring, allows for the rod to be inserted onto the hook (1) and be released from the hook (1) without the removal of the hook (1) from the bracket (3).
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to an object gripping apparatus that solves the above-described problems. Generally, in various embodiments, the object gripping apparatus includes a plurality of individually deformable gripping members configured to wrap around, grip, and hold the outer surface of an object. Because the gripping members are individually deformable, the object gripping apparatus may hold objects of varying shapes and sizes, such as objects having outer surfaces of varied diameters.
Abstract: A method of installing a self-supporting radiant barrier or insulation between roof joists or wall studs secured to an exterior building surface. Flexible and resilient strips are positioned in an inwardly bowed condition between adjacent roof joists or wall studs. A radiant barrier or insulation is positioned between the adjacent roof joists or wall strips in a bowed condition in engagement with the bowed strips. Thereafter, flexible and resilient rods are positioned in a bowed condition in engagement with the roof joists or wall studs, the radiant barrier or insulation and over the bowed strips to secure the radiant barrier or insulation to the underlying bowed strips and the adjacent roof joists or wall studs. The bowed strips, radiant barrier or insulation and the bowed rods are all located within the interior surfaces of the roof joists or wall studs.
Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a fireproof barrier shield comprising the panels combined together to form a fireproof blanket placed on the building structure to protect the structure from flying embers, radiant heat and fire accidents. The panel comprises an inner heat retardant layer an outer heat reflective layer secured together using a heat resistant adhesive glue or thread. Each panel has several slots for receiving a fastener for combining the panels. The straps comprising a buckle and a belt are provided for securing the fireproof blanket to the ground using screw type anchors or stakes. The buckle is made of heat conductive material and the strap is made of fireproof threads. The perforated channels with brass or aluminum hose fittings are sewn to the inner layer to allow the water flow. The shield comprises a third layer arranged as an outer layer or an inner layer.

Abstract: A hold open rod may include: an inner member; an outer member configured to have the inner member slide in and out of the outer member; a locking mechanism including a portion attached to the outer member and a portion attached to the inner member; a locking plug configured to move axially along an axis of the inner, outer members; a locking dog configured to move radially between a locking position and an unlocking position and a release cable operatively connected to the locking plug and configured to move the locking plug to the unlocking position. A method of actuating a lock mechanism on a hold open rod may also be provided.
Abstract: A toothbrush holder enclosure is provided which includes a three parts: a back plate, a resilient clamp and a front cover. The back plate and front cover form a housing. The clamp part has an inverted “U” shape and is made of a resilient material giving it a springy property. The clamp is shaped to urge two clamp arms towards one another in order for the clamp to grip a toothbrush. Two rollers at the tips of the clamp arms engage a toothbrush head inserted in the clamp as the clamp is spread apart from the clamped position to a deviated state. With the toothbrush inserted, the rollers exert pressure on a neck of the toothbrush to hold the toothbrush fast in place. The rolling engagement action of the rollers permits gripping toothbrushes having heads fitted with rubber sides.

Abstract: A building block formed of a body having one or more insert pieces, whereby first and second complementary coupling parts are mainly formed of the one or more synthetic insert pieces so as to be able to couple such building blocks to one another. The first and the second coupling parts are complementary in such a way that, after the adjacent building blocks have been coupled to one another in an immobile manner.
Abstract: A transition strip for covering a gap between two spaced floor finishes on a subfloor comprising: a strip extending along a longitudinal axis and presenting in cross-section to said longitudinal axis: an upper surface adapted for covering the gap; spaced first and second legs depending from said strip, said first leg longer than said second leg; a first lower surface portion extending outwardly from said first leg said first lower surface portion adapted to cover one edge of the two spaced floor finishes; a second lower surface portion extending outwardly from said second leg, said second lower portion adapted to cover an edge of the other one of the two spaced floor finishes. A method for installing transition strips is also described.
Abstract: An anti-skid mat utilized in the field of metal roofing and including a skid-resistant material exhibiting flexible properties and having a generally planar configuration with a length, width and thickness. A plurality of hinges or flex lines design into the material and which enable the material to conform to any irregular surface associated with the metal roof. Said material having a magnetic attracting underside such that placement of the material upon the metal roof securely supports the weight of a user standing on the mat without slippage relative to the roof.
