    Abstract: A hermetically-sealed hard disk drive (HDD) involves the inner surfaces of sidewalls of a second cover overlapping with and adhesively bonded with the outermost surfaces of sidewalls of an enclosure base. Matching angled sidewalls for the inner and outermost surfaces, and an adhesive bond that provides a hermetic seal in which a ratio of the height to the thickness of the adhesive bond is in a range of 50-100:1, may be utilized to provide a hermetic seal having a long, narrow diffusion path to inhibit diffusion of gas through the adhesive bond. The second cover may include preformed corner corrugations, and the base may include corner pockets in which corner pleats, formed with the corner corrugations by bending inward the cover sidewalls, are received within when the cover and base are bonded together.

The system may include a controller for determining locations of the fob within zones proximate the vehicle based on ultra-wide band wireless signals transmitted between the antennas and the fob, the zones including a primary zone and secondary zones, each secondary zone at least partially within the primary zone. The controller may be configured to detect a movement of the fob between secondary zones and generate a control signal for use in effectuating a vehicle operation based on the movement detected. A method is also provided which may include transmitting ultra-wide band wireless signals between the fob and the antennas, detecting a movement of the fob between secondary zones, and generating a control signal for use in effectuating a vehicle operation based on the movement detected.

CoFe-oxide crystallites are present at an interface region of the CoFe layer and the alumina-containing coating and the CoFe layer. Fabrication methods are also presented.

The mass of conductive adhesive is deposited in contact with the mass of structural adhesive. The state of partial curing of the structural adhesive prevents the conductive adhesive from wicking between the flexure and the underside of the microactuator and displacing the structural adhesive which may otherwise result in shorting to a stainless steel layer of the flexure. The method further comprises fully curing the mass of structural adhesive and the conductive adhesive through a second application of curing energy.

The curling motion causes a portion of the flexure to preferentially curl.
