  • Patent number: 10553876
Abstract: A method is provided that modifies a catalyst layer of a membrane catalyst layer assembly, which is manufactured by transferring the catalyst layer formed on a transfer sheet onto an electrolyte membrane. In the catalyst layer correction method, presence or absence of a defect in the catalyst layer is detected. The defect is removed based on the size and position of the detected defect. The portion from which the defect has been removed is repaired by application thereto of a correcting ink corresponding to the catalyst layer.

  • Patent number: 10543128
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for mechanically bonding substrates together. The apparatuses may include a pattern roll including a pattern element protruding radially outward. The pattern element includes a pattern surface and includes one or more channels adjacent the pattern surface. The pattern roll may be positioned adjacent an anvil roll to define a nip between the pattern surface and the anvil roll, wherein the pattern roll is biased toward the anvil roll to define a nip pressure between pattern surface and the anvil roll. As substrates advance between the pattern roll and anvil roll, the substrates are compressed between the anvil roll and the pattern surface to form a discrete bond region between the first and second substrates. As such, during the bonding process, some yielded substrate material flows from under the pattern surface and into the channel to form a channel grommet region.

  • Patent number: 10538018
Abstract: A method includes processing multiple macromolecular staples to successively produce a macromolecular sheet body, multiple silks and multiple sheet particles. The macromolecular sheet body contains multiple district camouflages and is processed by edge cutting to form multiple color strips. The color strips, the silks and the sheet particles are processed and attached to the surface of the macromolecular sheet body, so that the surface of the macromolecular sheet body forms the district camouflages, the thread camouflages and the spot camouflages. Finally, the macromolecular sheet body is vulcanized or solidified in a foam molding zone, to form an elastic mat with a mixed color type.

  • Patent number: 10486882
Abstract: A production method for a heat insulation bag with a more regular shape and less heat transfer, the method includes preparing a bag cover, an inner bag and an outer bag; placing a heat insulation layer between the inner bag and the outer bag; and then welding the heat insulation layer, the inner bag and the outer bag together. Improvements of the present invention include the steps of first preparing an inner bag periphery before preparing the inner bag, then welding an inner bag top sheet, welding an inner bag enclosure, cutting off the middle portion of the inner bag top sheet, and then welding a bottom surface of the inner bag, thereby forming an inner bag platform in the inner bag. Thus, heat transfer between the bag cover and the bag body after the production of the heat insulation bag is reduced and the heat insulation effect is improved.

  • Patent number: 10478347
Abstract: A nozzle assembly may be used to apply fluid to an advancing substrate. The nozzle assembly includes a nozzle body made from a first material. The nozzle body may include one or more abrasion resistant materials fused to the nozzle body. The nozzle body may be configured to deposit a fluid, using a shim plate, onto the advancing substrate. As the substrate advances past the nozzle assembly, the substrate and/or the fluid may contact the nozzle assembly resulting in wear. The one or more abrasion resistant materials, which is different than the first material of the nozzle body, may be fused to a portion of the nozzle body to reduce the wear and prolong the life of the nozzle body. Thus, the portion of the nozzle body having the abrasion resistant material is restored rather than having to replace the entire nozzle body.

  • Patent number: 10478346
Abstract: Methods of handling adhesive laminate patches. A first article, passed over a first supporting structure, includes disconnected adhesive laminate patches adhered to a first web, each patch being aligned over and adhered to a tab. A second web can be passed over a second supporting structure that is separated from the first supporting structure by a gap. The first article can be passed over the first supporting structure to lift a leading portion of a first tab and a first patch off of the first web together, such that the first tab facilitates transfer of the first patch across the gap. The first patch can then be adhered to the second web; and the second web can be advanced to transfer the first patch, and first tab, onto the second web to form a second article comprising patches aligned over tabs on the second web.

  • Patent number: 10442599
Abstract: An insulating device can include an aperture having a waterproof closure which allows access to the chamber within the insulating device. The closure can help prevent any fluid leakage into and out of the insulating device if the insulating device is overturned or in any configuration other than upright. The closure also prevents any fluid from permeating into the chamber if the insulating device is exposed to precipitation, other fluid, or submersed under water. This construction results in an insulating chamber impervious to water and other liquids when the closure is sealed.
