  • Patent number: 11057820
Abstract: Introduced here are visibility platforms able to process the traffic handled by the gateways of an Evolved Packet Core (EPC) with Control and User Plane Separation (CUPS). A visibility platform can include a control processing node (CPN) and one or more user processing nodes (UPNs). The visibility platform may populate a data structure in which the CPN and UPNs are associated with locations along an interface on which Sx/N4 traffic is exchanged between the control and user planes. Each location may be representative of the point on the Sx/N4 interface at which Sx/N4 traffic processed by the corresponding node is acquired. The CPN can use the data structure to program session flows that impact how user traffic is handled by the UPNs.

  • Patent number: 11039370
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed in which smart routing of a signal from a Wi-Fi device to an Access Point (AP) is performed by consulting a dynamic mesh network of measured path information between entities in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). The WLAN consists of at least two possible paths between the Wi-Fi device and the AP, and each path may include one or more sub-paths. The measured path information consists of Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) and Quality Indication (QI) measurements. The dynamic mesh network is generated by APs performing beamforming operations with other APs in the WLAN and obtaining distinct RSSI and QI for each measured path. The measured RSSI and QI of each path, for both the 2.4 and 5.0 GHz bands, is added to the mesh network. Wi-Fi devices entering the WLAN consult the mesh network to determine the optimum connectivity path to the AP, thus avoiding routing through an unnecessary number of additional APs as well as APs with an already heavy payload.

  • Patent number: 11039437
Abstract: Communication operations are optimally conducted by applying space-division multiple access in which wireless resources on a spatial axis are shared among a plurality of users. By applying an RD protocol to a communication system that conducts space-division multiple access, spatially multiplexed frames in a TXOP are made more efficient. By specifying a frame length for reverse direction frames with reverse direction permission information and having respective transmitters of reverse direction frames make their frame lengths uniform while respecting the specification, AGC operation stabilizes. Also, a transmit start time for reverse direction frames can be specified by reverse direction permission information, and respective transmitters of reverse direction frames can transmit frames at the same time while respecting the specification.

  • Patent number: 11018897
Abstract: An electronic control unit connected to a bus of a first network where first-type frames are transmitted following a first communication protocol and a second network where second-type frames are transmitted following a second communication protocol in an onboard network system. The electronic control unit sequentially receives the first-type and the second-type frames from the bus and the second network respectively, and stores in first and second reception buffers, respectively. The electronic control unit sequentially generates first-type data and second-type data by referencing the contents of the first reception buffer and the second reception buffer, and stores the first-type and second-type data in first and second transmission buffers, respectively. The first-type data is traveling control data for a vehicle, and the second-type data is other data. The first-type or second-type data that is priority type data is transmitted with priority.

  • Patent number: 11012514
Abstract: A hub is connected to first and second networks where first-type and second-type frames are transmitted following first and second communication protocols. The hub sequentially receives each of the first-type and second-type frames, and stores data in first and second reception buffers. If the destination of data stored in the first and second reception buffers is the first network, the hub stores the data in a first transmission buffer. If the destination is the second network, the hub stores the data in a second transmission buffer. If the first transmission buffer is a priority transmission buffer, the hub transmits priority data in the first transmission buffer with priority over non-priority data in the second transmission buffer, which is a non-priority transmission buffer.
