Abstract: An aerosol delivery device is provided that includes a reservoir configured to retain an aerosol precursor composition, a heating element, and a power source connected to an electrical load that includes the heating element. The power source includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and a linear regulator between the power source and load, the linear regulator being configured to maintain a constant voltage level at the electrical load. The aerosol delivery device also includes a microprocessor configured to operate in an active mode in which the microprocessor is configured to direct power from the power source to the heating element and thereby control the heating element to activate and vaporize components of the aerosol precursor composition.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein include wireless control of a welding power supply via portable electronic devices. In particular, operating parameters and statuses of the welding power supply may be modified by the portable electronic device, as well as be displayed on the portable electronic device. For example, in certain embodiments, the welding power supply may be an engine-driven welding power supply, and the portable electronic device may be configured to start and/or stop an engine of the engine-driven welding power supply. A pairing procedure may be used to pair the welding power supply and the portable electronic device in a wireless communication network. Furthermore, in certain embodiments, a method of prioritization of control between a control panel of the welding power supply and the portable electronic device may be implemented.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a welding system having a welding power supply configured to provide welding power is provided. Abstract: A system and method for preheating a cooking chamber of an oven appliance. The oven appliance may include a bake heating element, a broil heating element, and a convection heating assembly including a convection heating element and a fan. The heating elements are operated simultaneously and/or in different combinations in order to rapidly preheat the cooking chamber. For example, the preheat cycle may include alternating between a first heating routine for a first time period and a second heating routine for a second time period. Preheating the cooking chamber in this manner will reduce oven preheat time, ensure proper heat balance, and improve overall cooking performance.

Abstract: A heater cartridge comprises a heater contained within a distal section of housing pipe near a working portion, such as soldering iron tip or a blade for stripping wire. The wall thickness of the housing pipe is generally thin to limit heat transfer to a proximal section of the housing pipe near where a user's hand would be normally located.
