  • Patent number: 10599794
Abstract: Embodiments relate to the emulation of circuits, and tracking states of signals in an emulated circuit for performing power analysis. A host system incorporates power analysis logic into a design under test (DUT). An emulator emulates the DUT along with the incorporated power analysis logic. Based on the power analysis logic, during a power analysis clock cycle, the emulator selects a signal from a plurality of signals of the DUT. The emulator determines whether a state event is detected for the selected signal. If the state event is detected, a state count is updated for the selected signal that indicates a number of state events detected for the selected signal during emulation of the DUT. If the state count reaches a threshold number based on the update, the emulator transmits a count update signal to the host system indicating that the state count reached the threshold number.

  • Patent number: 10599879
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention simulate a real-world system by first generating a time dependent system of equations that represents the real-world system where the time dependent system of equations has a defined constraint. Next, the constraint is de-coupled from the time-dependent system of equations using a matrix representing an approximation of physics of the real-world system, the de-coupling generating a first system of equations representing the constraint and a second system of equations representing physics of the real-world system. In turn, the generated first and second systems of equations are solved and the real-world system is automatically simulated by generating a simulation using results from solving the first and second systems of equations.

  • Patent number: 10592378
Abstract: A customer-facing overhead management tool reduces the task of feature configuration to adjusting a scale representing relative feature availability. Features are configured by adjusting a graphical control element presented on a graphical user interface to activate or deactivate features based on relative weights and priorities associated with the features. Weights and priorities are stored within a configuration file underlying the control element and indicate an approximate order in which features will be deactivated upon “dialing down” the available features. The control element facilitates application resource management for the customer, as the customer may configure features to reduce overhead without knowledge of the underlying feature priorities and weights or relative overhead each feature incurs when activated. Customers may override the automatic feature adjustment by manually activating features which have been deactivated following a lowering of the value on the control element.

  • Patent number: 10592306
Abstract: A method and system architecture for automation and alarm systems is provided. According to exemplary embodiments, relatively simple processing tasks are performed at the sensor level, with more complex processing being shifted to the gateway entity or a networked processing device. The gateway entity dynamically allocates processing resources for sensors. If a sensor detects than an event is occurring, or predicts that an event is about to occur, the sensor submits a resources allocation request and a power balancer running on the gateway entity processes the request. In response to the resources allocation request, the gateway entity allocates some processing resources to the requesting sensor and the data is processed in real-time or near-real-time by the gateway entity.

  • Patent number: 10579366
Abstract: Techniques for facilitating data upgrades in a distributed system are provided. In one embodiment, a first instance of a distributed application executing on a first node of a distributed system can receive a message from a second instance of the distributed application executing on a second node of the distributed system. The first instance of the distributed application can then determine, via logic included in application code generated by an interface definition language (IDL) compiler, whether the message can be natively understood. If the message cannot be natively understood, the first instance of the distributed application can invoke a translation service for translating the message.

  • Patent number: 10569446
Abstract: A method for controlling a wall saw system during creation of a separation cut in a workpiece between a first and second end point, is disclosed. The separation cut is carried out in a plurality of main cuts. In addition to the main-cut sequence, an overcut sequence having at least two overcuts is defined for each end point defined as a free end point. For each overcut sequence, a starting position and an end position are defined, the overcuts being carried out therebetween. The wall saw is positioned in the starting position and is pivoted into a first overcut angle; subsequently, the saw head is moved by way of the inclined saw arm until the end position has been reached. The wall saw is displaced back into the starting position and pivoted into a second overcut angle. This sequence is repeated until all of the overcuts have been carried out.

  • Patent number: 10572781
Abstract: A simulation of behavior of a recording medium, which moves a conveyance path of an image forming apparatus, is performed. A transport error of the recoding medium is obtained based on a result of the simulation, and the transport error indicates a deviation between an orientation of the recording medium moving the conveyance path in an ideal transport state in which there is no disturbance, and a simulated orientation of the recording medium. A geometric characteristic screen is generated to present the obtained transport error.

  • Patent number: 10539117
Abstract: The invention relates to a power plant controller for controlling wind turbine generators. More particularly, the invention relates to a method for compensating data obtained from measurements at a connection point to the grid in case of a communication failure where communication of such data is lost or becomes unreliable. The measured data are used in the power plant controller for determining setpoints for controlling the wind turbine generators' production of active and reactive power. In response to detection of a communication fault a new setpoint is determined independently of new measured grid data by reconfiguring parts of the power plant controller.
