Abstract: An article of footwear comprises a sole structure and a footwear upper secured to the sole structure and defining an ankle opening. A device comprises a control bar having a center segment secured to a rear portion of the footwear upper rearward of the ankle opening, a medial side arm extending downwardly and forwardly from the center segment at a medial side of the footwear upper and fixed to the sole structure, and a lateral side arm extending downwardly and forwardly from the center segment at a lateral side of the footwear upper and fixed to the sole structure. The control bar depresses downward under an applied force to a loaded position as the side arms resiliently bend, storing potential energy that returns the control bar to an unloaded position upon removal of the applied force, the rear portion of the footwear upper moving with the control bar.

Abstract: An automated face shield assembly includes a band that is wearable around a user's head. A pair of actuators is coupled to the band and a face shield is coupled to the pair of actuators. The face shield covers the user's face when the actuators are actuated into a first condition. The face shield exposes the user's face when the actuators are actuated into a second condition. Moreover, the face shield is comprised of a fluid impermeable material to inhibit airborne transmission of infectious diseases between the user and another person. A pair of motion sensors is each coupled to a respective one of the actuators. The actuators are actuated into the first condition when the motion sensors sense motion to cover the user's face when the person approaches the user. Additionally, the actuators are actuated into the second condition when the motion sensors do not sense motion.
Abstract: A handheld demi-face shield device is easy to use, and can be easily attached and removed from a user's face. The handheld demi-face shield device includes a demi-shield comprising an outer edge, a handle end, a left edge, a right edge, a block end, a bottom portion, and a top portion; a nose bridge, a dowel adapter; and a dowel handle. The nose bridge is removably affixed to demi-shield and the dowel adapter includes a slideable clip, a receiving portion, a face, plurality of dowel holes, a dowel cuff; there is also a dowel handle.
