  • Patent number: 9284013
Abstract: An upright three-wheeled vehicle. A footboard part is disposed between and connected to a pair of rear wheel parts, and has a space section therein. A frame connects a front section of the footboard part to a front wheel part. A handlebar part extends upward from the frame. A suspension includes a first link perpendicularly connected to a drive shaft of a corresponding rear wheel part to initially reduce delivery of shocks by rotating and reciprocating in a lateral direction when the rear wheel part moves up and down, a second link perpendicularly bent from the first link and accommodated within the space section in a rear frame of the footboard part to secondarily reduce the shocks, and an elastic member disposed on the second link to absorb the shocks depending on a direction of the shocks applied to the rear wheel part.

  • Patent number: 9278612
Abstract: A vehicle has a motor and an engine each serving as a driving source for running the vehicle, and assembled batteries each capable of supplying an electric power to the motor. The assembled batteries include a high-power assembled battery and a high-capacity assembled battery. The high-power assembled battery is capable of charge and discharge with current relatively larger than that in the high-capacity assembled battery, and the high-capacity assembled battery has energy capacity relatively larger than that of the high-power assembled battery. In running of the vehicle using output from the motor with the engine stopped, the high-capacity assembled battery supplies more electric power to the motor than that in the high-power assembled battery. The high-power assembled battery is placed in a vehicle-inside space accommodating a passenger or baggage, and the high-capacity assembled battery is placed in a vehicle-outside space located on an outer face of a vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 9186998
Abstract: A method for operating an electrical system in a motor vehicle having two electrical machines connected to the electrical system via one controllable inverter each. A regulated generator mode is initiated. A first step detects a drop below a first predetermined voltage in the electrical system. A second step, on the basis of an induced freewheeling voltage expected for one of the electrical machines, selects one of the inverters and actuating such that the electrical machine connected thereto is operated in electrical freewheel, with the result that the rotation of said machine induces a freewheeling voltage in the electrical system. A third step detects the rise above a second predetermined voltage for the induced electrical freewheeling voltage available in the electrical system. A fourth step actuates the inverter of the first electrical machine such that the first electrical machine connected thereto is operated in regulated generator mode.
