  • Patent number: 9450325
Abstract: A power socket structure comprises a base seat, a top lid, a safety gate and an elastic component, wherein the base seat includes a first electrode and a second electrode, the safety gate can be movably placed on a supportive platform of the base seat, the top lid has a first plug-in hole and a second plug-in hole, and the top lid covers the base seat such that the safety gate is located between the top lid and the base seat, and the gate body of the safety gate masks the first electrode and the second electrode at the normal position. In addition, the safety gate includes a first slope and a second slope, so that, in case any one of the first plug-in hole or the second plug-in hole is inserted, it can sway about the rolling component of the safety gate acting as the center thereby maintaining the relationship of masking the first electrode and the second electrode.

  • Patent number: 6506060
Abstract: An electrical junction box for a vehicle provides electrical connection to electrical connectors, fuses and relays. Upper and lower case parts of a casing contain a base circuit, a fuse circuit and a relay circuit. The base circuit has first bus bars and insulation layers stacked together. The first bus bars connect to electrical connectors in use. The fuse circuit has a substrate which is discrete from the base circuit, and second bus bars providing connection to fuses in use. The relay circuit has a substrate, which is discrete from said base circuit, and third bus bars providing connection to relays in use. The second bus bars and the third bus bars are joined to the first bus bars by welding. A compact construction which is easily modified is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6375490
Abstract: A receptacle for an elongated electrical raceway is oriented so that its ground receptacle lies either above or below the raceway's longitudinal centerline, presenting a convenient orientation for the plug, that is not commonly provided for in a raceway environment. The receptacle employs insulation displacement connectors offset so as to connect electrical wires running longitudinally through a raceway channel to the line and neutral and ground sockets at the receptacle's face.

  • Patent number: 6358081
Abstract: The invention provides a connector in which the fitting operation and the detection of a half-fitted state can be easily performed. While two connector housings 11 and 20 are being correctly fitted together, coiled springs 50 move a slider 40 from a movement permitting position to a movement preventing position, and the two connector housings 11 and 20 are doubly locked. At this juncture, observing the movement of the slider 40 allows one to detect whether the two connector housings 11 and 20 have been correctly fitted. Since merely fitting the two connector housings 11 and 20 causes these two operations to occur, the operation is simpler. Moreover, the resilient returning force of the coiled springs 50 is less than that required to separate the two connector housings 11 and 20. Consequently, the fitting force of the connector can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6328615
Abstract: A contact is formed of a terminus (12) that forms the rear termination end of the contact, and a mater (14) that forms the front contact mating end such as a socket (32) or pin, the front of the terminus being joined to the rear of the mater. The terminus front portion forms a groove (42, 138) and the mater rear end has a part (50, 154) that lies in the groove and is locked therein. The maters can be completely gold plated while the terminus is not plated at all, to minimize the use of gold while avoiding the need for masks to selectively plate only portions of a unitary contact. In one contact design, the groove (138) at the front end of the terminus opens forwardly (F) and is formed by concentric inner and outer groove walls (140, 142), with the rear end of the terminus having a cylindrical part (154) that fits into the groove with a press fit and/or crimp of the outer groove wall.
