    Abstract: An adjustable-width, dual-connector card module. The module includes an adjustable-width printed circuit board (PCB) assembly including first and second PCBs, each having a respective end connector. A flexible connector is coupled to each of the PCBs to enable electrical signals to pass therebetween. An adjustable width stiffening mechanisms is employed to maintain the end connectors in a common plane, while enabling the distance between the PCBs to be adjusted. In one embodiment, the end connectors are edge connectors that are designed to mate with corresponding Advance Mezzanine Card (AMC) connectors, and the module is configured to have a form factor corresponding to either a full-height or half-height double-width AMC module. In one embodiment, one or more AMC modules of these configurations are installed in an Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (ATCA) carrier board, which in turn is installed in an ATCA chassis.

    Abstract: An electrical connector and a USB connector are provided. The electrical connector includes a main connector housing having an upper pin housing and a lower pin housing. The electrical connector is adapted to connect to a jack. The upper pin housing and the lower pin housing are adapted to connectively engage a forward plug port housing of the jack. The jack is mounted within the casing of an electronic device such as a hand-held personal computer, a personal digital assistant, a wireless telephone, or a paging device. When the electrical connector is connected to the jack, the upper pin housing is inserted into an upper housing receiving port and the lower pin housing is inserted into a lower housing receiving port so that the electrical connector is mated to the casing of the electronic device.

The method ensures that the glass paste comes off substantially completely from within the recess as it is being transfer-printed on the glass substrate and that the ribs are formed with high precision.

    Abstract: A retainer inserted from one side face of a housing is equipped with projections which penetrate from the side of hooked grooves of female terminal fittings, and insert portions which penetrate into bending spaces of lances from the side. When female terminal fittings are partially inserted into chambers of the housing, the insert portions of the retainer contact against the side faces of lances which are bent into the bending spaces, and the projections contact against the side face of connecting parts of the female terminal fittings. Further movement of the retainer is prevented and the partial insertion is detected. When the retainer is properly inserted, the projections are fit on the hooked grooves to be directly locked, and the insert portions are inserted in the bending spaces to prevent bending of the lances to be indirectly locked. Therefore, the female terminal fittings are triply and strongly locked, including the hooking of the barb parts of the terminal fittings by the lances.
