  • Patent number: 9926854
Abstract: A spiral mist elimination system includes a container with an inlet and a layered assembly in fluid communication with the inlet. The layered assembly contains a spiral shape and is concentric with a central axis of the container. The layered assembly imparts centrifugal motion in the engine bleed air as the engine bleed air travels spirally inward. The first portion of the layered assembly receives the first set of droplets. The layered assembly also includes a mesh matrix that collects a second set of droplets. The second set of droplets impacts the mesh matrix and coalesces to form a third set of droplets. A perforated tube is disposed along the central axis of the container. The perforated tube collects the engine bleed air from the layered assembly. Gravity draws the first and third sets of droplets into a reservoir.

  • Patent number: 9889391
Abstract: A degasser includes a vessel having a series of chambers. Liquid containing a gas is directed through the vessel and the chambers therein. A stripping gas is injected into the vessel and moves through the vessel in a counter-current direction relative to the flow of liquid. More particularly, the stripping gas moves from one chamber to another chamber in an upstream direction (relative to the flow of the liquid) and is mixed with the liquid in each chamber, causing gas in the liquid to be displaced. Displaced gas is vented from the vessel at a location near where the liquid enters the vessel.
