  • Patent number: 11055407
Abstract: Techniques for detecting an anomaly in queries of a relational database are disclosed. The techniques include identifying a set of attribute values from a query for accessing data within a database. Based on previously received queries, at least one of a joint probability for the set of attribute values or individual probabilities for the set of attribute values is determined. When at least one of the joint probability for the set of attribute values or an individual probability for one or more attribute values in the set of attribute values does not satisfy a probability cutoff, an indication that the query is anomalous is outputted.

  • Patent number: 11048672
Abstract: Embodiments include methods, systems and computer program products method for editing and correcting structural metadata associated a binary large object (BLOB). The computer-implemented method includes obtaining, using a processor, at least a portion of structural metadata associated with the BLOB. The processor converts one or more fields associated with the at least a portion of structural metadata and determines that the one or more fields generated one or more errors or null values. The processor provides an interface, wherein the interface is used to cause a first movement or edit the one or more fields. The processor determines that the first movement or edit of the one or more fields fixes the one or more errors or null values and provides an indication that the first movement or edit of the one or more fields has or has not fixed the one or more errors or null values.

  • Patent number: 11048769
Abstract: A digital magazine server displays content items from various sources to users of client devices. Each source of a content item is identified by a domain, and content items for different sources have different domain-level quality. To differentiate sources of content items, the domains identifying the sources are ranked based on domain scores of the domains generated by an aggregate of multiple trained domain classifiers. A domain score of a domain indicates a domain-level quality of content items provided by a source identified by the domain. Each of the trained domain classifiers (e.g., a naïve Bayes classifier, a random forest classifier, and a logistic regression classifier) generates a prediction of whether a domain is a spam domain based on the domain features and domains with known labels. Based on the domain scores of domains, the domain ranking module may adaptively select content items from the sources with corresponding domains scores.

  • Patent number: 11016955
Abstract: In some examples, one or more computing devices may perform deduplication of data. For instance, a first device may receive, from a second device, a first data-portion identifier corresponding to a first deduplication data portion. The first device may include a first index portion of a deduplication index and the second device may include a second index portion of the deduplication index. Further, the first data-portion identifier may be received based on a first data-portion identifier portion being in a range of values assigned to the first index portion. The first device may locate, in the first index portion of the deduplication index, a second data-portion identifier that matches the first data-portion identifier. The first device may associate the first reference information for the first deduplication data portion with a second deduplication data portion referenced by reference information associated with the second data-portion identifier.

  • Patent number: 10990632
Abstract: Search results can include, not only responsive content, typically in the form of documents, but can also include information regarding responsive entities, including tasks relevant to those entities, and can include identifications of individuals from whom additional information can be obtained, or who are otherwise relevant to the search. An association between entities and documents referencing those entities is identified and maintained. Documents responsive to a user's search query are identified utilizing existing algorithmic mechanisms and such identified responsive documents are referenced to determine whether they are associated with one or more entities. Additionally, a people/query mapping is maintained associating individual people with specific queries. User actions directed to one or more people in response to a query are utilized as a feedback loop.

  • Patent number: 10977303
Abstract: A search engine is modified to perform increasingly precise image searching using iterative Natural Language (NL) interactions. From an NL search input, the modification extracts a set of input features, which includes a set of response features corresponding to an NL statement in the NL search input and a set of image features from a seed image in the NL search input. The modification performs image analysis on an image result in a result set of a query including at least some of the input features. In a next iteration of NL interactions, at least some of the result set is provided. An NL response in the iteration is added to a cumulative NL basis, and a revised result set is provided, which includes a new image result corresponding to a new response feature extracted from the cumulative NL basis.

  • Patent number: 10970313
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a communication device includes one or more processors. The processors decide on a first-type parameter representing a conversion operation for converting input data into first-type conversion data. The processors calculate first-type predicted distributions based on second-type parameters, each representing one of the plurality of clusters. The processors update the first-type parameter and the second-type parameters so as to achieve optimization of first-type differences representing differences between the first-type predicted distributions and a target distribution, and second-type differences representing differences between the first-type predicted distributions and second-type predicted distributions that indicate probability at which second-type converted data. The second-type converted data is obtained by converting data, which is formed by augmentation of the input data, using the first-type parameter belongs to the clusters.

  • Patent number: 10956524
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a machine learned model is used to determine whether to send a notification for a feed object to a user. This machine learned model is optimized not just based on the likelihood that the notification will cause the user to interact with the feed object, but also the likely short-term and long-term impacts of the user interacting with the feed object. This machine learned model factors in not only the viewer's probability of immediate action, such as clicking on a feed object, but also the probability of long-term impact, such as the display causing the viewer to contribute content to the network or the viewer's response encouraging more people to contribute content to the network. As such, the machine learned model is optimized not just on notification interactivity but also on feed objects interactivity.
