Abstract: One or both surfaces of a uniformly and completely textured polyimide sheet are coated with a layer of electroless nickel or cobalt and a subsequent layer of electrolytically applied copper yielding an adhesiveless laminate useful in the production of electronic circuitry. The copper and nickel or cobalt layers are strongly bonded to the textured polyimide sheet to the extent that the laminate exceeds bond strength requirements as measured by current standard peel strength tests of the Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC) for both initial and post solder float adhesion.
Abstract: Transparency sheet material for use in a plain paper electrostatic copiers comprising (a) a flexible, transparent, heat resistant, polymeric film base, (b) an image receiving layer carried upon a first major surface of the film base, and (c) a layer of electrically conductive prime coat interposed between the image receiving layer and the film base. This sheet material can be used in either powder-toned or liquid-toned plain paper copiers for making transparencies.

Abstract: An improved release coating for heat transferable laminate and improved method for curing the release coating for heat transferable laminates wherein an ink design layer is transferred from a carrier web onto an article such as a plastic or glass container upon application of heat and pressure. The improved release coating does not contain wax components but exhibits release properties similar to wax based formulations. The improved release contains U-V curable components which are cured by exposure to ultraviolet light after the laminate containing the ink design, is transferred to a receiving article. The heat transferable laminate preferably includes a barrier layer intermediate the release layer and ink design layer. The barrier layer also contains U-V curable components. The barrier layer is cured by exposure to ultraviolet radiation during formation of the laminate structure and prior to transfer of the laminate to a receiving article.
