Abstract: New electrostatographic toners and developers are provided containing novel charge control agents comprising ester-containing quaternary ammonium salts having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is alkyl or aryl, R.sub.2 is alkyl or aryl, R.sub.3 is alkylene, arylene or arylendialkylene, R.sub.4 is alkyl, aryl or aralkyl, R.sub.5 is alkyl or aryl, R.sub.6 is alkyl, aryl, or aralkyl, R.sub.7 is alkyl or aryl, X is ##STR2## Z.sup..crclbar. is an anion and n is an integer from 2 to 6. Such ester-containing quaternary ammonium salts also cause toner particles containing them to display lower fusing temperatures and improved paper adhesion indexes.
