  • Patent number: 5056424
Abstract: A picnic cooking assembly includes a skillet, a cooking pan, and a kettle. The cooking pan nests within the skillet and the kettle nests within the skillet over the cooking pan. The cooking pan, inverted, fits over the skillet to form a food storage container. Moreover, the kettle is formed with a spout covered with a cap which is also securable to the kettle as a handle. Attached to the skillet is a handle which, when the cooking assembly is assembled, fits over and around the kettle, locking the cooking assembly together.

  • Patent number: 5044040
Abstract: A toiletting assist device for a patient wearing a back brace or having other body limitations causing inability to reach sufficiently to perform the toiletting function, including a base member upon which a removable cleansing fabric is wrapped and an integral handle extending at an obtuse angle from one end of the base member. The length of the handle and the angle thereof relative to the base member are such that the patient, while sitting on a toilet, can reach the anatomical areas to be wiped without bending or moving the torso laterally.

  • Patent number: 5045048
Abstract: A seal for a blood processing centrifuge bowl which is formed of a dynamic rotary seal and a static seal. The dynamic rotary seal is formed of an upper graphite or carbon non-rotating ring member and a lower two-piece rotatable ring member formed of a ceramic bearing surface bonded by adhesive to a plastic adapter ring. The static seal is comprised of an elastomeric diaphragm formed over the upper ring member and secured thereto by a plastic retaining ring.

  • Patent number: 5040261
Abstract: The invention relates to a toothbrush, comprising a brush handle (1) and a brush head (3) adjoining the latter, and, if required, disposed at an angle. According to the invention, a gripping slide (4) which can be displaced over at least part of the length of the brush handle (1) by virtue of a guide element projecting into a handle recess is arranged on the brush handle (1).

  • Patent number: 5025525
Abstract: The tooth brush having an anatomically compatible structure has a handle which is twisted in comparison to that of the conventional tooth brush so that a plane passing through the head of the tooth brush bearing the bristles and another plane passing through the handle cross each other at a certain angle. The handle is however preferably divided into two parts, a concavo-convex oblong section contiguous to the neck inclined with respect to the plane of the head and a rhombus-like cross sectioned end part which is also inclined with respect to the plane of the head, but in the opposite direction to that of the oblong section. The handle can be provided with a depression and shaped to fit the thumb and forefinger when gripped by the hand. Because of the structure of tooth brush, the bristles can be applied upright on the teeth, when the hand holds the handle in a more comfortable unstrained position than the conventional tooth brush.

  • Patent number: 5018260
Abstract: A double-containment pipe assembly is provided with an inner carrier pipe, an outer containment pipe and supports for maintaining concentrically therebetween. The supports may define resilient support clips of unitary construction. Each resilient support clip includes a mounting portion defining a section of a cylinder from which a plurality of support legs extend. One end of each support leg may be tapered to facilitate insertion into the containment pipe. One end of the support clip may also include a reinforcement flange extending partly thereabout to prevent overstress related damage to the support clip. The support clips may alternatively define unitarily molded planar structures having a circular inner support surface and a plurality of spaced apart outer support surfaces defining arcs of a circle concentric with the inner support surface.
