    Abstract: A Hall effect sensor is disposed between two magnets having their fields in quadrature and in association with a movable specially formed ferromagnetic part which is used to control flux in the sensor in such a way as to cause the sensor to produce a linearly varying output voltage dependent upon the position of the part.
