  • Patent number: 6454052
Abstract: A lubrication device is applied in a punching machine, and includes a hollow workpiece-guiding unit, and an oil feeding assembly, and a compressed-air supplying unit. The workpiece-guiding unit defines an interior chamber, and has a plate passage unit for extension of a horizontal metal plate therethrough. The plate passage unit is in fluid communication with the interior chamber in the workpiece-guiding unit. The oil feeding assembly supplies lubricating oil into the workpiece-guiding unit. The compressed-air supplying unit supplies compressed air to combine with the lubricating oil so that the lubricating oil is trained on the compressed air to form an oil gas, which flows into the interior chamber in the workpiece-guiding unit and onto the top and bottom surfaces of the metal plate.

  • Patent number: 6450587
Abstract: A safety-enhancing automatic brake control system automatically applies and maintains the brakes in the applied state, when one or more conditions exist at various stations around/in the vehicle or equipment that make vehicle movement dangerous. A preferred controller electrically, electronically, or otherwise connects to various sensors at the vehicle stations, validates the signal(s), and then actuates a mechanism that manages the air, brake fluid, mechanical brake linkage/cable, electric, or other mechanism that applies the brakes. In an air brake system, a solenoid valve blocks and vents the air line to release a piston that normally counteracts a spring mechanism. In a hydraulic brake system, a piston or spring, for example, powers a secondary piston rod and piston in a master cylinder to apply the brakes. In the case of a spring-actuated system, a release unit such as a piston may be used to counteract the spring for releasing the brakes.

  • Patent number: 6450591
Abstract: In a hydraulic brake pressure control system, a master cylinder generates a brake fluid pressure proportional to a brake pedal pressure and a high-pressure supply device generates an increased brake fluid pressure. A hydraulic circuit having a wheel cylinder device is capable of performing a master cylinder control to control a wheel cylinder pressure by using the pressure generated by the master cylinder, and capable of performing a brake-by-wire control to control the wheel cylinder pressure by using the pressure generated by the high-pressure supply device. The hydraulic brake pressure control system includes a master cut valve device which controls a flow of brake fluid from the master cylinder into the wheel cylinder device. A wheel cylinder sensor device outputs a signal indicative of the brake fluid pressure in the wheel cylinder device.

  • Patent number: 6405838
Abstract: A drum brake assembly for a vehicle is provided. A backing plate supports opposing brake shoes with a drum disposed there about. Each of the brake shoes has a portion in spaced relation from one another. A wheel cylinder is supported by the backing plate and is arranged between the portions of the brake shoes for forcing the portions away from one another to engage the brake shoes with the drum in a brake position. A strut interconnects the brake shoes proximate to the portions. A lever has a first end, which extends to a second end, supported from one of the portions by a pivotal connection. The lever is rotatable about the pivotal connection between a normal operating position in which the strut is spaced from the lever and a parking brake position in which the lever engages the strut to maintain the portions in the brake position. An electric parking brake actuator is supported by the backing plate and includes a linkage that coacts with the second end of the parking brake lever.
