A method to produce said bandage sandwich can include providing a first adhesive bandage layer; applying an elastic body to the first adhesive bandage layer; and applying a second adhesive bandage layer to the first bandage layer. The elastic body of the bandage sandwich can be shaped to follow the contours of veins or arteries to be compressed.
Abstract: A water sports nasal guard prevents unwanted contaminated water from entering a user's nostrils. The water sports nasal guard includes a mouth guard, an upper tongue shield, a lower tongue shield, and a nostril shield. The mouth guard allows the user to bite down on the water sports nasal guard, thereby upholding the nostril shield against the nasal passages of the user. The nostril shield presses up against the openings of the user's nasal passages. The mouth guard further includes an arch-shaped body, an upper teeth receptacle, and a lower teeth receptacle. The arch-shaped body positions the upper teeth receptacle and the lower teeth receptacle opposite to each other, both of which accommodate the upper teeth and lower teeth of the user. The upper tongue shield and the lower tongue shield prevent the user's tongue from coming between the teeth of the user and the mouth guard.

The drape body has a forward edge and an oppositely disposed rearward edge. The drape body has a centerline that extends from the forward edge to the rearward edge. A guardrail is located at the upper surface of the drape body.
Abstract: The solution to protecting the human knee from external forces is to surround the knee with a brace that includes adjustable air bladders to absorb external forces before the external forces pass into the knee and cause internal knee injury. Such a brace includes a pair of struts that are bifurcated by hinges, the adjustable air bladders placed between the knee and the hinges.
Abstract: A fingerstall, in particular for treatment of defects of the distal phalanx of the finger with a closed distal end, an open proximal end, and an interior. Provision is made that a chamber is formed in the fingerstall at the distal end thereof and the chamber is in liquid communication with the interior of the fingerstall.
Abstract: A surgical draping system includes an under-draping, an over-draping, and a connecting draping connected by the under-draping and the over-draping. The surgical draping system is used to establish and maintain a surgical corridor to a surgical site or sites on a patient supported by a surgical table. The surgical draping system can accommodate rotation of the patient on the surgical table, such that the sterile surgical corridor is maintained even during such rotation. The sterile surgical corridor extends through an aperture formed in the over-draping, through an enclosed passageway formed through the connecting draping, and through an aperture formed in the under-draping.

Abstract: Hand orthotics are provided for protecting and/or supporting phalanges, metacarpals and/or ligaments of the hand providing thin, lightweight, moldable devices that form to the digits of and to the hand to provide shock absorption and limited range of motion in flexion and extension movements of the digits of the hand, but mitigate or prevent hyperextension. Each orthotic has several plates of thermal plastic, pre-molded carbon fiber or the like that are generally, if not entirely, inflexible and interlinked through limited range of motion hinges, overlapping, and/or abutting plates that accommodate stability and protection. The plates are contained within, on top, underneath, or permutations of these, a form fitting material (e.g. neoprene or vinyl) to maintain a tight fit to the hand, digits and wrist. A thumb plate is hinged to an upper or lower hand plate of the device and includes a loop for receiving the thumb.

The adhesive bandage includes a first and a second bandage arms and a third and a fourth bandage arms. The first and second bandage arms are transverse to the third and fourth bandage arms. The first and second bandage arms are longer in length to the third and fourth bandage arms. The adhesive bandage further includes a medicated pad at an intersection of the first and second bandage arms and the third and fourth bandage arms. In one embodiment, the new bandage includes an adhesive strip and a clip such that the adhesive strip is looped through the clip. In another embodiment, the new bandage includes an adhesive strip and a Velcro strap such that the adhesive strip is looped through the Velcro strap.
Abstract: The knee pain treatment apparatus includes an upper member constructed to encircle a leg above a knee. The upper member includes an outer surface, an inner surface, an opening for exposing a front of the knee and a tensioning member integral with the upper member and depending downwardly therefrom. A patella biasing device is secured on the inner surface of the upper member and is arranged and constructed to border the opening. The apparatus further includes a flexible lower member arranged and constructed to encircle the leg below the knee and at least one tensioning member fastening system. The tensioning member fastening system is arranged and constructed for connecting the upper member and the lower member. When the upper member and lower member are mounted on the leg and connected, the at least one tensioning member is stretched creating a downward biasing of the patella.

Abstract: A device for modeling a pessary is disclosed. A matrix of individually expandable balloons are mounted around a shaft, which holds fill lines for each balloon. The balloons are expandable with fluid to a desired volume and/or pressure, according to comfort and fit determined by real-time patient feedback. Because the volumes and the positions of the balloons are known, a calculation of the dimensions of the vaginal canal can be made, so that the matrix of expandable balloons models the vaginal canal.
Abstract: An ankle foot orthosis to be worn inside a common shoe that corrects ankle pronation by gently axially rotating and rolling the foot in the corrective direction by pulling from the shin assembly while further enhancing the corrective rolling with strategically placed posts on the medial edge of the sole. Rigidity of the foot assembly is paired with the flexibility of the shin assembly for donning a foot into the device when combined with a wide variety of common shoes. Features are also provided to A) support the longitudinal, transverse, metatarsal, and peroneal arches, thus enhancing the stability of the foot; and B) to support the plantar vault, thus enhancing the stability of the foot.
Abstract: A knee orthosis is provided. In described embodiments, the knee orthosis is designed to follow a natural movement of a wearer's knee along an asymmetric helicoidal axis of rotation. In some embodiments, the knee orthosis has hinges with shells having displacing geometric centers which do not coincide. In some embodiments, the knee orthosis is made of femoral and tibial hinges manufactured as single integral pieces.
