  • Patent number: 9659263
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automated project management notification using an update family tree. The system utilizes a set of subscription service managers and a set of message processing managers to automatically manage the inter-relationship between a set of systems belonging to different entities within the overall family tree of entities working on a project. Each subscription service manager tracks the other entities interested in the updates and events from the host of the subscription service manager. The message processing managers receive the update events from the subscription service manager and apply a set of host defined rules that govern the automated processing of the received messages. In turn, the entity hosting each message processing manager may have its own set of subscribers that are managed by their respective subscription service manager.

  • Patent number: 9652956
Abstract: A tag-based electronic theft-preventing system further comprises a first and second multi-axis magnetometer arranged at the two sides of an entrance to a shopping area and configured to output a first and second vector signal representing movement of a first and second magnetic field vector, respectively. A signal processor estimates a first rotation of the first magnetic field vector and a second rotation of the second magnetic field vector, and generates an indicator signal comprising indication of a counter-direction rotation or a same-direction rotation. The system computes therefrom if an unlock magnet for an anti-shoplifting tag is entering the shopping area and determines whether to warn about a possible theft-related event. Other indicators contemplated in the processing are for instance vector magnitude, continuity of detection, duration of detection, change in electric field.

  • Patent number: 9591612
Abstract: Systems and methods for low overhead paging in a wireless communications network are described herein. In some aspects, an apparatus for wireless communication includes a receiver and a processor. The receiver receives a request from a first device. The request indicates a first period of a plurality of periods corresponding to a periodicity for transmitting paging messages. The processor assigns the first device to a group scheduled to receive paging messages at most every first period based on the request and determines a start time for transmitting paging messages to the first device based on schedules for transmitting paging messages to a plurality of other devices. In other aspects, an apparatus for wireless communication includes a processor and memory. The processor derives an information sub-unit from an information unit associated with a paging message, compresses the information sub-unit, and generates a second information unit associated with the method of compression.
