In various embodiments, methods of the present invention may include initializing an interactive game application at a game server which is then characterized as having an active status, notifying a lobby server concerning the active status of the game server, registering the application with a universe management server via the lobby server, and allowing users to join the interactive gaming environment. The users joining the interactive gaming environment may be identified by a server key obtained from the game server.

The apparatus may further include an SLM array located adjacent to the display and comprising a plurality of SLMs, wherein the SLM array is operable to produce a light field by altering light emitted by the display to simulate an object that is in focus to an observer while the display and the SLM array are located within a near-eye range of the observer.

Abstract: It is provided a computer-implemented method for simulating the machining of a workpiece with a cutting tool having a cutting part and a non-cutting part. The method comprises providing a modeled volume representing the workpiece and a trajectory of the cutting tool; determining a colliding sweep of the cutting tool, wherein the colliding sweep represents the volume swept by the non-cutting front of the cutting tool when the cutting tool follows the trajectory; testing a collision with the workpiece according to the determining step. Such a method improves the simulation of the machining of a workpiece with a cutting tool.

Abstract: A method for detecting two dimensional sketch data from source model data for three dimensional reverse modeling. The method includes the steps of detecting optional model data, establishing X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis of the model data depending upon a reference coordinate system information inputted from a user, and setting a work plane for detecting two dimensional section data of the model data; projecting, on the work plane, two dimensional section data to be detected from the model data or polylines detected by designating a detection position; detecting two dimensional projected section data of the model data projected on the work plane, and dividing the two dimensional projected section data into feature segments depending upon a curvature distribution; and establishing a constraint and numerical information in accordance with connection of the divided feature segments of the two dimensional projected section data, and creating two dimensional sketch data.

Abstract: A system and method for determining orientation of a vehicle is provided. The method includes the steps of providing a vehicle having a hinge joint such that sections of the chassis are capable of rotation with respect to each other. A first and second wheel is mounted to one and the other of the chassis sections, respectively. Vehicle geometric data defining a distance between the hinge joint and the centers of the first and second wheels, respectively, and the diameter of the wheels is provided. Surface geometric data defining the curvature of the surface can be provided. The angle of rotation about the hinge joint is measured. An orientation of the vehicle relative to the surface based on the vehicle geometric date, the surface geometric data, and the measured angle of rotation can be determined. A system and method for determining the orientation of an object is also provided.

Abstract: Provided is a character input method and apparatus for automatically switching an input mode in a terminal having a touch screen. If a press event occurs in one of key regions displayed in the touch screen, it is determined whether a drag event occurs prior to occurrence of a release event. According to whether the drag event occurs, one of a separate input mode for inputting one of characters of a corresponding character group and a text input mode for inputting a word including one of the characters of the character group is executed. Thus, a user can easily input a character by rapidly selecting a desired input mode.

Abstract: An organic light emitting display device is disclosed. One inventive aspect includes a plurality of pixels provided at a region sectioned by scan lines and data lines and an initialization power unit. The plurality of pixels are configured to control the amount of a current flowing from a first power source to a second power source through an organic light emitting diode in response to a data signal. The initialization power unit supplies initialization power to a driving transistor within each pixel circuit. The initialization power unit further controls the voltage of the initialization power supply to maintain a substantially constant voltage difference between the second power source and the initialization power.

In another aspect, offline operation includes automatically calculating and administering meal doses based on information gathered autonomously during preceding periods of online operation. Both methods include generating relevant control parameters tailored to the individual and continually converged upon and potentially modulated during online operation. The control parameters are employed in real time during periods of offline operation to regulate glucose level without the need for user-provided control parameters such as correction factors and insulin-to-carbohydrate ratios.
