Abstract: A white conductive fiber is manufactured at an inexpensive cost having superior conductivity and high degree of whiteness, in which a metal coating plated on the fiber has superior adhesiveness. A method for manufacturing the white conductive fiber comprises the steps of mounting a wound fiber body formed by winding a continuous fiber to the fixing shaft, a step of flowing a plating solution from the fixing shaft to a plating bath via the wound fiber body so as to infiltrate the plating solution into the wound fiber body, and a step of performing electroless plating of silver, platinum, or the like on the fiber material while the plating solution flows.

Abstract: The invention aims to provide a phosphor thin film eliminating a need for filters, having a satisfactory color purity and useful as the blue color in full-color EL displays, a method for preparing the same and an EL panel. Such objects are achieved by a phosphor thin film formed of a matrix material comprising barium thioaluminate as a main component to which magnesium is added and rare earth element, Eu is added as a luminescent center, a method for preparing the same, and an EL panel using the same.
Abstract: A fiber body includes a collection of fibers containing thermoplastic resin as the main component and an energy consuming component, such as a piezoelectric material for converting and consuming external mechanical energy of sound and vibration. The energy is converted into electrical energy, which in turn, is converted and consumed into and as heat by means of the electrical resistance of the resin.
Abstract: A cheaply fabricated light-emitting device which is bright consuming a small amount of electric power, and an electric appliance. An organic EL element capable of converting the triplet excited energy into light is obtained by using, as a light-emitting layer or as a dopant, an organic compound (binuclear complex) having a molecular structure which permits the spin-orbit interaction to easily increase. Here, a cheaply available metal is introduced as a central metal of the binuclear complex to lower the cost of production. Light emitting devices and electric appliances are produced by using the organic EL element.
