Abstract: A method for providing an estimate for a defined building control system comprises displaying on a user interface a plurality of areas for the defined building control system. The method further comprises associating a plurality of subsystems of the defined building control system with the plurality of areas, each of the plurality of subsystems associated with a defined plurality of building automation components in a database, the plurality of subsystems including a first subsystem and a second subsystem both associated with one area of the plurality of areas. Both the first subsystem and the second subsystem are displayed on the user interface in association with the one area. A cost estimate for the defined building control system is generated based at least in part on the first subsystem and not based on the second subsystem.

Abstract: A system and methods for management and delivery of content and rules is disclosed. An exemplary method may comprise managing, for an organization, a plurality of data and a plurality of content in separate database entities, wherein the plurality of content is associated with the plurality of data based on a plurality of rules; packaging the plurality of rules with the plurality of content in a carrier that is independent from one or more presentation channels, wherein at least part of the plurality of content is integrated with at least part of the plurality of data; delivering the plurality of data and the carrier to the one or more presentation channels; integrating, at the one or more presentation channels, the plurality of data with the plurality of content based on the plurality of rules; and distributing the integrated data and content through the one or more presentation channels.

Abstract: A method and system for handling requests from a user and rendering a resulting page in HTML useful in effectuating aspects of an order management system, which reduces the redundancy in the underlying code required to effectuate the HTML page. An embodiment of the present invention modularizes various parts of an HTML page, effectuating the re-use of certain portions of code, advantageously reducing redundancy. In one embodiment, the present invention associates each HTML page with a form mapped to a servlet in a system backend. The servlet performs appropriate action based on corresponding user action. Each user action calls a set of re-usable helper class methods. Upon completion of processing, the servlet calls a render method. The active render method internally calls re-usable render methods in helper classes. These populate NTV data used by a JSP to generate a new HTML page accordingly.

Abstract: Wireless data access is provided for customers using a preexisting merchant data connection. An access point is used to communicate wirelessly with customer-owned or merchant-provided computing devices. The preexisting data communication link includes merchant-generated traffic, such as credit card authorization transactions or corporate electronic mail. A router is configured to combine customer-generated wireless traffic with the merchant-generated traffic and to transport the combined data over the preexisting data communication link. Further features, such as protocol conversion, are also provided.

Abstract: An apparatus for providing spontaneous collaboration between a shopper and consultants concerning a shopping goal derives information about the shopper's physical or logical proximity to a particular product category, combined with the current contents of his or her shopping cart is used to determine one or more shopping goals; as well as information about each potential consultant, including physical proximity, willingness to consult, areas of expertise and recent experience is used to rank each consultant in terms of relevance to one or more shopping goal.

Abstract: A workflow may be moved from one provider to another provider by extracting the metadata from an executing workflow describing the workflow state as part of dehydrating the workflow, and transferring the metadata to a second workflow and rehydrating the workflow at a second provider. An automated workflow manager may determine when to move the workflow and may facilitate moving with or without human intervention. When a workflow is moved from one provider to another, the workflow state may be moved without transferring executable code that executes the workflow.

Abstract: For a system having a network-enabled device in communication with a computing network, a method of rating a product includes receiving a product identifier of a product from the network-enabled device, determining a product price, determining a brand entity, and defining a geographic perimeter of interest. One or more brand entity economic values attributed to the product are determined, such as a revenue received amount, a wages paid amount, a taxes paid amount, and/or a charitable contribution amount. Economic impact values are determined for the product and relate the product price to the brand entity economic value for the perimeter of interest. The method determines and outputs an economic impact rating to a user of the network-enabled device based the one or more economic impact values.

Abstract: An amount of risk associated with a transaction may be determined by transforming collected information into a searchable database where the collected information may be assessed for relevancy and redundancy, parsed into categories of relevancy based on at least one risk, stored in a database, and outputted into a graphical user interface. Information may also be collected from a plurality of sources, translated into at least one standardized format, parsed into a plurality of portions, assessed based on a risk-relevancy metric, tagged based on the risk-relevancy metric, filtered based on redundancy, stored within the data structure, and outputted into a data storage structure to a graphical user interface. Unstructured information may be obtained from a large variety of sources, which may allow users to make decisions—regarding, for example, transactions, relationships, or the like—from a risk perspective.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for providing integrated management of a workflow for moving industry quotes. A processor can be configured to execute workflow management software to manage a plurality of moving industry quote workflows. Each moving industry quote workflow may correspond to a move transaction. The moving industry quote workflows may correspond to a plurality of workflow types, and each workflow type may comprise an associated plurality of interrelated tasks for different aspects of managing a moving industry quote workflow. Users can interact with a plurality of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to perform the interrelated tasks.

Abstract: Methods and systems for content aggregation and distribution are described. Video content may be received from a plurality of sources. The video content may be associated with metadata identifying items included within the video content. A video player may be provided which enables video content to be displayed on a user terminal, and a control may be provided enabling the user to quickly navigate to specific portions of the video content. A viewer of the video content may, in turn, author and provide additional video content. The video player may be embeddable.

Abstract: Data records containing user feedback regarding at least one offering are received. From among candidate attributes in the received data records, a subset of attributes that relate to user sentiment regarding the at least one offering is selected, where the selecting is according to selection criteria including frequency of occurrence of the candidate attributes, relative amounts of negative and positive feedback associated with the candidate attributes, and time density of feedback associated with the candidate attributes. A visualization of at least one sentiment characteristic of the selected subset of attributes that relate to user sentiment is presented for display.

Therefore, the use of the digital materials that should be used in the product can be automatically checked. The efficiency is improved, and the power can be saved.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for attending a meeting. The method involves determining the presence of a meeting notice for a meeting in meeting software, where the meeting notice comprises a start time, a end time, a name of an attendee, and information to connect to the meeting. The method also involves obtaining information about the meeting from the meeting notice to populate a meeting template, determining that the meeting is a not-in-person meeting, and populating the meeting template to obtain a meeting record for the meeting. The method also involves connecting over a voice communication channel to the meeting at the start time using the information in the meeting record for the meeting and terminating the meeting at the end time of the meeting.

Abstract: A method of recommending vendors to bid on a print job may include identifying a print job for which a recommendation of vendors to bid on the print job is desired and identifying one or more vendors as potential bidders for the print job. The method may include, for each identified vendor, determining, by a computing device, a bidding probability associated with the vendor, a winning probability associated with the vendor, a recommendation probability associated with the vendor, and identifying the vendor as a recommended vendor based on the associated recommendation probability. The method may include notifying a user of the recommended vendors.

Abstract: This disclosure provides various embodiments for performing a dry-run of a business process model in a design-time environment. A start event and end event of the business process model are identified, defining a path of a flow map including a sequence of a plurality of events, including the start event, the end event, and at least one other event sequenced between the start and ends. The events in the path are stepped-through to simulate each event. An error is identified corresponding to a particular event in the path and the step-through is paused upon identifying the error. A user is then prompted for an input to at least temporarily resolve the at least one error. The stepping-through of the plurality of events is then resumed in response to a resolution input from the user. The dry run ends in response to stepping-through to the end event.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and/or computer program product creates a physical information environment for a specific industry type. A candidate industry type, which has specific information environment requirements, is selected to describe a customer's operations. A set of information environment components that is specific to the candidate industry type is selected. Inherent constraints, for the set of information environment components, are identified. A processor recursively optimizes the set of information environment components to create a set of optimized information environment components that meet the inherent constraints and key performance indicators (KPIs) of the candidate industry type. A hierarchy of KPIs for the candidate industry type is defined. The processor predicts access patterns to the optimized information environment components based on the hierarchy of KPIs.

Abstract: A system evaluates callers, into a contact center, for possible employment. The evaluations occur while the caller waits in a contact center queue and provide a rating of the callers as potential employees. Ratings may be generated or accumulated from one or more interactions with the contact center, where each interaction with the caller can provide information about the caller's suitability as an employee. Good candidates may be interviewed automatically and/or by a manager. Those candidates that receive good ratings/evaluations and are interested in the position may be hired or provided incentives to help the call center respond to calls.
