  • Patent number: 12202024
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus (100) for sub-surface injection of constituents of a slurry, wet mixture, and or gas in a phase of entrainment for controlled flow. The apparatus (100) includes a rotary union (113), a drilling assembly (403), hollow shaft injection drilling arrays (1003A), limit switches (1705, 1707, 1709), and encoders (1605B). The rotary union (113) facilitates the filling of the constituent in hollow shaft drilling bits (129) during a drilling process or before the drilling process via an opening and closing of a plurality of valves (111, 215, 505B, 805B, and 1107B). The constituents are capable of being injected through the rotary union, wherein the rotary union (113) is in concert with the valve (111) to dispense predefined quantities of constituents at a specific depth in a sequence of dispersal. The drilling assembly (403) is directed by a GPS (1413C) to control an X plane and Y-plane injection coordinates.

  • Patent number: 12195939
Abstract: A masonry block has a front, a back, a top surface, a bottom surface, a first side and a second side. The front has a front-top edge and a front-bottom edge. A number of staggered steps (e.g., one or two steps) rise above the top surface, setback from the front-top edge by a first setback distance. An equal number of notches are formed/cut into the bottom surface. A first notch of the notches is setback from the front-bottom edge by a second setback distance. When stacked to form a wall, the steps of a lower masonry block interface with the notches of a next higher masonry block and the first setback distance is greater than the second setback distance resulting in an overall setback as defined by a difference between the first setback distance minus the second setback distance.

  • Patent number: 12196083
Abstract: In a tunnel boring machine with a shield skin (106) extending in a longitudinal direction, a sensor unit (118) for detecting convergences has a number of hydraulic distance sensors (121) equipped with an extendable probe (124) with extension path measurement. By virtue of the distance sensors (121), the distance between the shield skin (106) in the area of the relevant distance sensor (121) and the surrounding rock mass (103) can be detected as a distance value, so that the thickness of an annular gap (115) can be determined. The distance sensors (121) are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the shield skin (106) at a measuring distance which corresponds to a typical ring width of a tubbing (112). A central unit evaluates the distance values of the distance sensors (121) to determine convergences.

  • Patent number: 12157804
Abstract: Environment-friendly reinforced foam for underground hydrogen storage and a preparation method thereof. The reinforced foam includes hydrogen and a liquid phase, where the liquid phase is an aqueous solution of a foaming agent, a foam stabilizer, a pH regulator and a particle cosolvent; and the foam stabilizer is a compounded system composed of 0-dimensional nanomaterial and 1-dimensional nanomaterial at a mass ratio of 2-5:1. In the reinforced foam of the present disclosure, the 0-dimensional and the 1-dimensional nanomaterials are compounded to form a nano-armor layer, which improves the stability of foam and the interfacial viscoelasticity of a liquid film by synergistic reinforcement, and inhibits the viscous fingering, escape and leakage of hydrogen in a reservoir, thereby not only being beneficial to improving the mobility of hydrogen, but also increasing the safety of hydrogen underground storage.
