  • Patent number: 5452552
Abstract: This invention relates to an exterior curtain wall system assembled from multiple framed panels. The design utilizes externally framed panel design with concealed water drainage mechanism within pressure equalized wall cavities to eliminate the dependency of the sealing integrity of the shop and/or field applied sealant lines for watertight performance. The design also eliminates the accumulative thermal movement of the wall surface and facilitates the easiness of replacing an individual facing panel.

  • Patent number: 5453055
Abstract: An adjustable-height free standing slide apparatus has an overall slide surface length that can be increased or decreased by changing the orientation of a single component. The slide apparatus includes a frame that supports a slide member. The frame also supports a block member that can be mounted to the frame in a first orientation in which a first surface on the block forms a substantially horizontal platform surface leading to the top of the slide and a second orientation in which a second surface on the block forms a slide exterior surface meeting substantially contiguously with the slide surface to extend the overall slide surface length.

  • Patent number: 5440840
Abstract: A triangulated roof structure for supporting a roof that projects in plan a substantially closed curve includes a substantially horizontal outer compression ring, a plurality of tension hoops concentrically arranged within the compression ring at different heights relative to a common reference plane, and a plurality of substantially vertical compression members having upper and lower ends, affixed at their lower ends to each of the tension hoops. The compression members are located so that compression members affixed to a first tension hoop are not radially aligned with compression members affixed to an adjacent tension hoop. The structure also includes a plurality of tension elements interconnecting a compression member affixed to the first tension hoop to a proximal pair of compression members affixed to an adjacent tension hoop and means for securing an outermost tension hoop and the vertical compression members attached thereto to the compression ring.
