  • Patent number: 11203890
Abstract: An energizable electromagnet of a door locking system is affixed to the door or the door frame for electromagnetically attracting an armature affixed to the other. A power control circuit is configured to selectively energize the electromagnet using a pulse-width modulated current cycle wherein two levels of magnetic force may be selectively applied to the system. A door position sensor is configured to provide a first communication signal to the power control circuit when the door is in a closed position. A second communication signal is provided when the door is not in the closed position. The electromagnet is energized at the lower level of magnetic force when the power control circuit receives the first communication signal and at the higher level of magnetic force only when an unauthorized attempt to open the door is initiated.

  • Patent number: 11078690
Abstract: Provide a door latch apparatus with a childproof lock mechanism that is only a projecting portion of the childproof lock mechanism is movable in the release direction interlocked with an opening operation of an inside lever, so that the degree of freedom of arrangement and design of several kinds of parts assembled in a housing can be increased. A release actuating member is supported movably in an elongated guide hole of a childproof lever from a standby position to a release position. When the childproof lever is in a childproof unlocking position and when an inside lever is carried out the opening operation, a projecting portion contacts to the inside lever and moves in the opening direction, so that the release actuating member moves to the release position against a biasing unit.

  • Patent number: 11078689
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a motor vehicle lock, wherein the motor vehicle lock comprises an actuating lever which is pivotable about an actuating lever axis. The motor vehicle lock has an adjustable crash element which is adjustable into a released position in which the locking pawl is disengageable by an actuation of the actuating lever and into a crash position in which the crash element blocks the actuating lever in a blocked position or decouples the actuating lever from the locking pawl. It is proposed that the crash element is coupled to the actuating lever such that, with an actuation of the actuating lever and depending on the actuating lever speed, the crash element reaches the released position from a central position either in a first adjusting direction or the crash element reaches the crash position in a second adjusting direction and is latched in the crash position.
