Abstract: The present invention provides a resin composition including (a) 20-80% by weight of an amorphous polyolefin having a propylene and/or butene-1 component content of 50% by weight or more, and (b) 80-20% by weight of a crystalline polypropylene. This resin composition is well balanced in mechanical strength and flexibility and gives rise to no environmental pollution.
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention is a polymeric composition, in pellet form, which comprises a vinyldene chloride interpolymer, and a friction reducing polymer (FRP) in an amount of from about 0.1 to about 40 weight percent, said weight percent being based on the total weight of the polymeric composition. The FRP is selected to selected to lower the frictional coefficient and the mechanical energy to extrude of the polymeric composition. In another embodiment, the present invention is a polymeric composition, in either power or pellet form, possessing improved extrudability, composition comprises a vinylidene chloride interpolymer in an amount of from about 55 to about 99.85 weight percent, a FRP in an amount from about 0.1 to about 40 weight percent, and a salt of an acid in an amount of between about 0.05 and about 5 weight percent, said weight percents being based on the total weight of the polymeric composition.

Abstract: Polymer composition based on a mixture of 15 to 50% by weight of a propylene polymer and of 50 to 85% by weight of a flexible ethylene copolymer. The flexible ethylene copolymer is either a terpolymer (A) comprising from 83 to 92.7 mol % of ethylene, from 7 to 14 mole % of at least one alkyl (meth)acrylate, whose alkyl group has from 1 to 8 carbon atoms and from 0.3 to 3 mol % of at least one unsaturated dicarboxylic anhydride, or a mixture comprising, for 100 parts by weight, at least 70 parts by weight of the terpolymer (A) and at most 30 parts by weight of at least one copolymer (B) selected from ethylene copolymers comprising from 86 to 93 mol % of ethylene and from 7 to 14 mol % of at least one copolymerizable monomer selected from alkyl (meth)acrylates whose alkyl group has from 1 to 8 carbon atoms and ethylene copolymers comprising 92 to 98 mol % of ethylene and from 2 to 8 mol % of at least one C.sub.3 -C.sub.10 .alpha.-olefin, the said ethylen/.alpha.
Abstract: The present invention provides a thermoplastic elastomer composition excellent in oil resistance. This composition comprises a partially crosslinked mixture of (A) an ethylene copolymer rubber comprising ethylene and an acrylate ester or a methacrylate ester and (B) an olefin polymer and, if necessary, (C) an olefin copolymer rubber.
Abstract: NR/EPDM co-cured rubber blends with sulfur and organic peroxide used together as the co-curing agents to achieve ozone resistant, high tensile property rubber compositions. Sulfur accelerators MBTS and DPG are also employed in the curing process. NR/EPDM blends of from 70/30 to 55/45 are cured in an air cure process with sulfur in the range of 0.64-1.6 phr and with organic peroxide in the range of 0.6-1.6 phr.
Abstract: A rubber composition comprises 1-30 parts by weight of particular cyclopentadiene series resin based on 100 parts by weight of rubber and exhibits improved cut resistance and chipping resistance.
