Abstract: A tilt-swivel head (1) for optical apparatus (19) has a housing (2), a base (4) for mounting the housing, actuators for swiveling about a first, vertical swivel shaft (AS-AS) and for tilting about a second, horizontal tilt shaft (AN-AN) connecting the housing to the apparatus (19). The extruded section (3) is mounted with its lengthwise axis horizontal, has vertical end surfaces and one horizontal portion and at least one vertical portion which, together with the remainder of the extruded section, form a single tubular hollow body. Also, the vertical swivel shaft (AS-AS) passes through the horizontal portion of the extruded section, and the horizontal tilt shaft (AN-AN) passes through the vertical portion of the extruded section. Lastly, two covers (22) are fastened on the two vertical end surfaces of the extruded section (3).

Abstract: A storage rack for use with a break press is capable of holding dies in a manner whereby each die can be readily transferred directly from the storage rack to the break press. The storage rack comprises a central shaft capable of vertical movement and a set of horizontal tiers fixedly secured to the central shaft to move vertically therewith and also to rotate therewith. Each tier has at least two support rails to hold dies. A die for use in the break press is positioned juxtaposed a die bolster of the break press by vertically moving the tier and revolving it. It is transferred readily by sliding it from the storage rack's support rail to the break press's die bolster.

Abstract: A clamp for adjustably mounting an airspeed indicator to a webbing. The clamp is configured as a pair of planar jaws designed to clamp the webbing when tightened by a bolt passing through the jaws. Each jaw includes a socket half so that a socket is created when the jaws are brought together. A resilient hoop is used to encircle the barrel of the airspeed indicator in a resiliently constrictive manner. A ball is mounted to the external periphery of the resilient hoop and is configured to be received in the socket and clamped therein when the jaws are clamped to the webbing.

Abstract: An improved double pronged golf bag support assembly has a two pronged ground engaging element slidably disposed within an elongated tubular housing for movement from a retracted position to an extended position with the pointed end of each prong extending beyond the lower end of the housing to engage the ground at two laterally separated points. The double pronged ground engaging element consists of a single metal rod bent at its approximate mid-point with its pointed ends extending parallel to one another downwardly within a tubular housing having an oval cross section. An exterior foot pedal element affixed between the prongs above the pointed ends extends outwardly through an elongated longitudinal slot in the tubular housing body so that the double pronged spike can be driven downwardly by foot pressure on the pedal against the upward force of an expandable spring having its lower end attached to the top of the spike and its upper end affixed within the upper end of the tubular housing.

Abstract: An arm locking system for a vertical banner supporting column having horizontally disposed arms. The tubular column internally receives a nut having resilient fingers permitting unilateral installation of the nut adjacent an arm extending through holes formed in the column. A screw within the nut bears upon the arm forcing the arm against the edges of the associated column holes frictionally positioning the arm and column. A single nut and screw may be used to position a plurality of arms upon the arms being so related that the screw causes engagement of the arms portion's within the column to engage in a frictional relationship forcing the arms into contact with their associated hole edges.

Abstract: A spring strap member is arranged for positioning within a flexible bag, the spring strap member includes a first end and a second end, the first end mounted to a strap handle housing and the second end arranged for sliding projection through the housing, wherein the strap includes a row of apertures directed therethrough, with a latch mechanism mounted within the strap handle housing for engagement with one of the apertures to accommodate trash bags of various sizes to maintain the trash bag in an opened orientation for receiving debris and the like.

Abstract: In a mounting for a gas turbine engine, the engine is pivotally mounted about its center of gravity to an aircraft support structure by means of a pair of radially outwardly extending trunnions. Each trunnion is connected to a central conical section of engine casing by means of an axially extending intermediate support member. The support member is secured to the downstream end of the conical casing section at an axial location offset from the trunnion. During operation distortion of the less stiff conical section is reduced by virtue of the resultant shear force distribution across the casing.

Abstract: A vehicle seat adjuster includes laterally spaced track assemblies each having an upper track slidable fore-and-aft relative to a lower track and normally locked to the lower track by a latch adapted to be pivoted about an upright axis to an unlatched position. Pivoting of the latches is effected by manually turning an operating handle about a laterally extending axis, the handle being conveniently located adjacent and accessible from the outboard side of the vehicle seat.

Abstract: A rotatable container-storing and selectable container-holder apparatus (10) that is designed to be used by manicurist and hobbyist. The apparatus provides convenient storage for paint and liquid containers (60) and allows a particular container (60) to be placed in a tilted position for easy access. The apparatus consists of a rod (12) that extends upwardly from the upper surface (14A) of a stationary base (14). Over the rod (12), against a lower spacer (16), is inserted a rotatable platform assembly (18) that consists of a lower platform (20) and an upper platform (22) that are separated by a center spacer (24). The upper platform contains a plurality of circular and rectangular openings (22D), (22E) into which may be inserted a container (60). On the upper end (12B) of the rod (12) is attached a container receiving and clamping assembly (30) that may be designed with a structure that provides a single-plane-arc or with an universal joint that allows multiple angular positions to be set.

Abstract: The invention relates to a two member mounting device wherein one member of the device is mounted to a wall, the second member is attached to the back of a picture frame or plaque. The two members inter-engage one another such that a pad lock maybe attached to the device to prevent the two members from being separated, thus securing the picture frame to the wall.

Abstract: An adjustable disk show rack including a plurality of individual sector boxes pivotally connected together by a pivot shaft, each individual sector box having a horizontal insertion slot on the arc for the insertion of an individual laser disk, a first rail and a first sliding groove disposed at the bottom and concentrically spaced along the arc, a second sliding groove and a second rail disposed at the top and concentrically spaced along the arc corresponding to the first rail and the first sliding groove, and wherein the first rail and first sliding groove of one individual sector box are slidably matched with the second sliding groove and second rail of another individual sector box so that the individual sector boxes can be arranged into a stack or spread out like a fan.

Abstract: It is common in the design of modern day construction equipment to utilize one or more hydraulic systems that may require the use of a pressurized accumulator. Since the rating requirements for the respective systems can vary from country to country, it is necessary to provide mountings for various sizes of accumulators. In some instances an entire mounting apparatus has been required for each size adding needlessly to the expense and complexity of the mounting design, In the subject invention, a mounting apparatus is provided for accumulators that utilizes a pair of vertically spaced brackets. Mounting fasteners are provided that are centered on an axis that is spaced from a wall of the machine a distance greater than the radius of the largest accumulator that will be utilized. Being so positioned, the same mounting fasteners may be utilized to mount accumulators of various diameters.

Abstract: A portable reading holder which has a loading frame, a base and a dust-proof cover. The loading frame has fixing ears formed at its lower end, which can be fixed on pivot seats of the base plate and can be rotated freely so as to regulate the angle. The best viewing angle when keying in data or a document laid on the reading holder is thus obtained. The portable reading holder is small and can be carried or repositioned conveniently.

Abstract: A device is provided for supporting a golf bag having support legs extended and retracted as required. The device has an upper hinge bracket fixed to an upper portion of a golf bag, a lower hinge bracket fixed to a lower portion of the golf bag, a support leg assembly having an upper hinge element, an offset actuating lever pivotally connected to the lower hinge bracket and having a lower hinge element, and an actuating assembly pivotably connected between the upper hinge element and the lower hinge element. The offset actuating lever is pushed upwardly by contact with the ground so that support legs are extended by the upward movement of the actuating lever and the rods when the golf bag is tilted toward the support legs on the ground while the support legs are retracted by its own weight when the golf bag is erected.

Abstract: A dishwasher rack attachment for use in washing plastic bags, such as freezer bags and the like. The attachment includes a hose and a clip. The hose is engageable with any two of the prongs of the dishwasher rack so as to accommodate various sized freezer bags. The clip is slidably engageable with the hose and is configured to secure a plastic bag to the hose. The position of the clip is slidably adjustable relative to the hose so as to accommodate freezer bags of varying dimensions.

Abstract: A display mount and book support apparatus includes a base panel adapted to sit on a surface along with a pair of angled panels each attached to one edge of the base panel with a ductile hinge and extending at an angle over the base panel. A pair of generally upright panels are each attached to one edge of one angled panel and extend in a generally vertically direction. The upright panels are spaced from each other in a generally parallel spaced relationship whereby books or other materials can be wedged between the upright panels and rest on one side of the base panel. The ductile hinges are of an increased rigidity over those normally used in the industry and have been alloyed with magnesium, copper, iron and manganese to thereby increase the resistance to bending.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device to mount an accessory to a vehicle wherein the accery can be moved between a deployed position or a retracted position. The device has a mounting bracket removably fixed to the vehicle and has cylinders fixed to the mounting bracket. The device also has shafts translatably received in the cylinders, an accessory bracket fixed to the shafts, and a shield bracket on one of the shafts between the mounting bracket and the accessory bracket. The device has a lane marker dispenser or other accessory pivoted on the accessory bracket about the same axis as a shield pivots on the shield bracket. The shield and its bracket are translatable toward or away from the accessory bracket on this axis. The device additionally has structure for locking the shield to the accessory after the shield is translated toward the accessory.

Abstract: A vertically elongated computer system tower unit has an internal sheet metal chassis portion having a bottom base wall to the underside of which four specially designed molded plastic stabilizing foot members are directly connected without the use of mounting screws or other separate mounting structures. Each support foot has a pair of top side retaining projections that are received in complementarily configured openings in the chassis base wall in a manner holding the foot member on the base wall and permitting the foot member to pivot between an initial installation position in which the projections may be inserted into or removed through the wall openings with the foot member underlying the base wall, a retracted position in which the foot member is pivoted outwardly from the installation position and underlies the base wall, and an extended position in which the foot member projects outwardly beyond the base wall and stabilizes the tower unit.

Abstract: An apparatus for holding a plurality of barber electric hair clippers in a ready-to-use position when they are not being used comprises a plate having a plurality of hooks for enabling the hanging of the hair clippers, and a like number of electrical cords extending outwardly through corresponding apertures formed through the plate, each of the apertures being relatively adjacent to a corresponding one of the hooks, the outwardly extending end of each of the electrical cords being configured for electrical connection to a conventional electric hair clipper for the operation thereof. Automatic cord retractors are connected to each of the electric cords rearwardly of the plate for enabling the extending of the cords from the plate when a hair clipper to which the cord is connected is unhooked from its hook on the plate for use and for automatically retracting the cord when the hair clipper is rehung on its hook.
