  • Patent number: 5964602
Abstract: A hood assembly attached to a female connector includes slide members on the top and bottom thereof which are slid in a direction perpendicular to a fitting direction of male and female connectors. As a result of a movement of the slide members, guide pins provided on the male connector is guided by guide grooves provided on the slide members to pull the male connector into the hood assembly, thereby fitting the connectors to each other. A hood portion of the female connector is inserted between upper and lower flanges of the hood assembly with anchoring holes provided on the hood assembly and anchoring projections provided on the female connector in positions shifted from each other, and the hood assembly and the female connector are slid in this state into a normal position where the anchoring projections engage the anchoring holes.

  • Patent number: 5954536
Abstract: A connector is provided for electrically interconnecting the conductors of a flat flexible circuit to the conductors of a complementary mating connecting device. The connector includes a carrier on which the flexible circuit is positioned with the conductors of the circuit facing away from the carrier. A housing has an opening for receiving the carrier. The carrier is slidably mounted into the opening in the housing to a preliminary loading position for receiving the mating connecting device between the carrier and the housing. The carrier is pivotable from the preliminary loading position to a final connecting position whereat the conductors of the flat circuit are biased against the conductors on the mating connecting device.

  • Patent number: 5954524
Abstract: A grounding arrangement, especially for clean rooms, is provided. The arrangement includes grounding conductors to which electrically conductive components, such as metallic housings of machines, are connected by connecting lines. The conductors are flexible leads that are conductively interconnected by connecting terminals. The conductors are connected to a foundation by at least one shunt line.

  • Patent number: 5934933
Abstract: A device that allows for simple cost effective connections to flexible multilayered circuits and flexible membrane switches. The invention provides a connecting device that includes a housing that has a base and a closeable lid. At least one contact is attached to the housing. One end of the contact(s) extends beyond the housing and is suitable for making a connection to an electrical circuit. The other end of the contact(s) is positioned inside the housing for connecting to the flexible circuit board or flexible membrane. The lid can be fixed in the closed position whereby the end of the contact(s) inside the housing is compressed with the flexible circuit. The lid can be attached to the base with a hinge, and when the lid is closed it snap locks in place so that the contact(s) are firmly held to the conductive pads of flexible circuit.
