  • Patent number: 9507898
Abstract: A computer identifies a storage element in a simulation model of an integrated circuit design that, during simulation of the integrated circuit design using the simulation model, is subject to having its value forced. In response to identifying the storage element, an indication of the storage element and the associated clock signal are stored in a database. In response to receiving an input indicating the value of the storage element is to be forced during simulation, a determination is made by reference to the database whether or not forcing of the value is mistimed with reference to the associated clock signal. In response to a determination that the forcing of the value as indicated by the input is mistimed with reference to the associated clock signal, an indication that forcing of the value is mistimed is output.

Abstract: Method for estimating residual moveout in common image gathers (51) of seismic data for use in velocity tomography (57). The method iteratively (56) flattens (55) the common image gathers against a specified reference trace through the application of conjugate-gradient least-squares inversion (53). Different from other picking methods which need to identify and track strong amplitudes, the inventive method automatically inverts for the depth residual for every grid point in the image gather. There is no need to identify and track events.

  • Patent number: 9466034
Abstract: Embodiments for determining an optimal configuration for a renewable energy power plant are provided. The power plant, which may be a virtual power plant, includes one or more generator devices and one or more energy storage devices that may be operated to undertake one or more operating applications. Data indicative of the power output of the power plant and the voltage level at the energy storage system connection point is received as an input. Using this data, combinations of energy storage devices and operating applications stored on a database are processed and, for each energy storage and operating application pair, a value indicative of the profitability of undertaking the operating application is determined. These values are used to rank the combinations of energy storage devices and operating applications according to their profitability, which in turn is used to select the most efficient or profitable application/energy storage pair.

  • Patent number: 9412198
Abstract: A collision determination device includes a target cell designation unit that designates a target cell for a voxel model which represents the shape of a first object. A determination test point generation unit generates determination test points for the target cell. A spatial curve creation unit creates a spatial curve as the trajectory curve of a determination test point. A curve intersecting determination unit determines whether or not each boundary element of a boundary representation model representing the shape of a second object is intersecting the spatial curve. A distance computation unit computes the closest distance from the spatial curve to the boundary surface of the boundary representation model. A collision determination unit determines, based on the determination result and the computation result, whether there is a possibility of collision between both objects.
