Abstract: Provided are methods and systems for preventing malicious behavior of an end point. An example method commences with monitoring a stream of events associated with the end point. The method further includes processing the stream to record a set of events to a memory. Processing an event of the stream includes determining that the event satisfies at least one rule in a sequence of rules and, in response to the determination, adding the event to the set of events in the memory. The method further includes determining that the set of events includes a sequence of events. Each state in the sequence of events corresponds to at least one rule in the sequence of rules. The method continues with executing at least one action on the end point in response to the determination that the set of events includes the sequence of events.

  • Patent number: 12013746
Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms for logging crash event information based on a high-level representation of a structure that a crash log is to have. In an embodiment, a crash log agent logs information which describes system state to a record of a crash log. A structure of the record is defined by instructions which include a high-level reference to a type of information that is to be retrieved for logging to the record. Based on the high-level reference, the crash log agent accesses reference information which indicates a correspondence of the information type to a circuit resource with which state information is to be retrieved. A transaction unit of the crash log agent generates a command to target the circuit resource in response to an indication of a crash log event. In another embodiment, the transaction unit identifies the circuit resource prior to the crash log event.

  • Patent number: 11989106
Abstract: In a memory system, a memory device has a memory array with multiple rows of memory having logical addresses mapped to their physical addresses and at least one spare row not having a logical address mapped to its physical address. A controller detects a failure of one of the multiple rows of memory (“failure row”) and executes a post package repair (PPR) mode. The controller can be internal to the memory device or external to the memory device. The memory device includes an internal scratchpad to allow transfer of data contents from the failure row to the spare row. The controller can map the logical address of the failure row from the physical address of the failure row to the physical address of the spare row, transfer data contents from the failure row to the internal scratchpad, and transfer the data contents from the internal scratchpad to the spare row.

  • Patent number: 11989099
Abstract: A snapshot resource manager running on a storage array forecasts the time-variable need for storage array resources for generation of snapshots. The forecasted resources are accumulated in pools that are pre-allocated for snapshot generation such that the required resources are available when receipt of commands to generate snapshots are received, thereby mitigating the performance impact of snapshot generation on servicing of IOs from instances of host applications.

  • Patent number: 11983081
Abstract: Failover of a Docker container between nodes of a cluster is orchestrated to enable the Docker container's data to be made available across all nodes of the cluster. Using this orchestration system, if a second cluster node is selected to be used to bring up a Docker container, the orchestration system coordinates destroying the previous Docker volumes on the first cluster node, unmounting a physical device containing the application data from the first cluster node's virtual filesystem, remounting the physical device containing the application data in the virtual filesystem of the second cluster node, creating a Docker volume referencing the application data on the second cluster node, and using the Docker volume to start a new instance of the Docker container on the second cluster node. This enables the Docker container to be started on any node of a cluster and have the application data available as a local filesystem.

  • Patent number: 11971776
Abstract: In various embodiments, techniques can be provided to address debug efficiency for failures found on an operational system. The techniques can utilize a real-time trigger to notify a memory device to dump an error log to timely capture all needed information. In response to detecting one or more error conditions associated with the memory device, a system that interfaces with the memory device can generate a trigger signal to the memory device. In response to identifying the trigger signal, the memory device can dump an error log of the memory device to a memory component in the memory device. The error log can later be retrieved from the memory component for failure analysis.

  • Patent number: 11971791
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for automatically failing over all services operating on a primary region to a secondary region upon detection or notification of a fault in the primary region. When a fault exists on the primary region, the method traverses each cluster containing services operating on the primary region and prepares an input file including a list of service names identifying each service operating on the primary region. Referencing the input file, the method fails over each service from the primary region to the secondary region by modifying a service weight corresponding to each service. This failover process of services may be done simultaneously with failing over any databases corresponding to the failed-over services from the primary region to the secondary region. The method may also introduce a sleep time after modifying each service weight to avoid any potential throttling issues.
