  • Patent number: 8581846
Abstract: A sensing mouse includes a base, an upper cover, a plurality of touch-sensitive members and a controlling unit. The base has a curvy surface. The base is sheltered by the upper cover. The touch-sensitive members are disposed on the curvy surface and in communication with the controlling unit. When one of the touch-sensitive members is contacted with a working surface, a moving direction of the cursor is determined by the controlling unit according to a touching signal from the pressed touch-sensitive member, and a displacement amount of the cursor is determined by the controlling unit according to a contact area between the pressed touch-sensitive member and the working surface.

  • Patent number: 8390554
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device and a method of driving the same are disclosed. The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel including data lines, gate lines crossing the data lines, and liquid crystal cells arranged in a matrix format at each of crossings of the data lines and the gate lines; a data drive circuit that converts digital video data into a positive/negative data voltage using gamma reference voltages to supply the positive/negative data voltage to the data lines; and a gamma voltage adjusting unit that increases a potential of each of the gamma reference voltages during a blanking period when a polarity of the positive/negative data voltage is inverted.

  • Patent number: 6424336
Abstract: A method of controlling a two-hand held controller with an analog pressure sensor(s) for controlling video game machines and imagery thereof, and other electronically generated imagery. The method for communicating an on/off simple-switch output signal to hardware or to software, which is expecting to receive such a simple binary signal as is typically generated by some type of on/off switch or switching device. In this invention the on/off signal is generated by circuitry which has as its input an analog sensor having pressure-sensitive variable-conductance material. Such an analog input sensor may be operated by depressing a button/trigger/4-way rocker or the like. The on/off signal, or information packet containing such a signal, is communicated at a variable rate in time. The communication rate being determined by the level of pressure applied to the input device.

  • Patent number: 5945966
Abstract: A method for transforming world coordinates into device coordinates comprises the steps of inputting a set of world coordinates to be displayed, scaling the world coordinates into view coordinates bounded by a display volume, finding a control memory location of a light beam deflector corresponding to a Y-axis position for each of the view coordinates, calculating X-axis and Z-axis device coordinates from the view coordinates for deflecting a light beam to a selected point within the display volume corresponding to each of the view coordinates, and loading the device coordinates into the control memory locations corresponding to the Y-axis position for each of the view coordinates to cause the light beam to be deflected to each selected point.
