  • Patent number: 4399929
Abstract: A box spout for attachment to a cardboard box, or the like, and further to a method of forming a pouring opening in such a box. The box spout includes an inner wall and an outer wall which are spaced apart and joined at their upper ends. The inner wall is longer than the outer wall and it is provided with longitudinal, converging marginal cutting edges which terminate in a cutting point at its lower free end. The inner wall has a longitudinal, central cutting edge on its outer surface which is perpendicular to the marginal cutting edges. The longitudinal edges of the outer wall converge toward its lower free end. The inner and outer walls are curved in plan cross section. The inner wall is provided with longitudinal ribs between the inner and outer walls for wedging the cardboard wall of a box between the inner and outer walls. The spout has an open upper end and an open rear side.

  • Patent number: 4397407
Abstract: An apparatus for producing a solid-forming or foam forming mixture. Feed pipes carry reaction components from storage containers to a mixhead where they merge into a mixing chamber. A separate feed pipe leads into the outlet of the mixing chamber for the introduction of a filler into the reaction mixture. The outlet of the mixing chamber is arranged partially in a tube which is coaxial with a housing. The tube is movable within the housing and acts as a closure for the filler feed pipe.

  • Patent number: 4397408
Abstract: The invention relates to a storage system comprising: an enclosure containing a liquid and a pressurant gas and a liquid-expelling device comprising a structure made up of rigid elements which define a grid-like interior surface forming a gas barrier and which delimit a central outlet passage and gaps whose width increases as a function of the distance to the central passage from a minimum value selected for the said gas barrier, to a maximum value selected so as to prevent the liquid contained inside the structure from being expelled into the enclosure as long as the acceleration does not exceed a given threshold, said structure constituting a buffer-tank from where the liquid can be expelled through the central passage under the effect of the gas at every phase of utilization and which is re-filled with liquid contained inside the enclosure by means of a feeding device which converges to a liquid input provided in the structure.
