  • Patent number: 11175097
Abstract: A packing for heat and/or mass transfer between liquid and gaseous media in counter-flow, in particular for water cooling by air in cooling towers, includes a plurality of film elements contoured by corrugations. The corrugations provide flow passages and the film elements are successively arranged behind each other in the thickness direction forming points of contact. Adjacent film elements are connected to one another at their points of contact and mutually facing large surfaces of adjacent film elements have a fine contouring. The fine contouring includes a ribbing with rib webs and rib grooves running transversely to the flow passages. A rib groove is disposed between two adjacent rib webs. The transitions between successive rib webs and rib grooves are designed such that they are substantially free of radii.

  • Patent number: 11173469
Abstract: The present invention discloses an efficient mass-transfer separation bulk filler structure, which includes a bulk filler body with closely-fit multilayer structures, wherein an annular wall surface of the bulk, filler body has a corrugated angle group. A lower portion of the bulk filler body is of a bell-mouth shape. Three passages with a same sectional area are formed inside the bulk filler body. The present invention has the characteristics of small pressure drop, large specific surface area, low liquid holdup and large void ratio. The annular wall surface is provided with the corrugated angle group to increase the disturbance and reduce a double-membrane thickness of vapor and liquid phase mass-transfer resistance, thereby improving the mass-transfer coefficient and separation efficiency. Meanwhile, by adopting the bell-mouth shape, the stability and natural stacking regularity of the bulk filler can be improved.

  • Patent number: 11161755
Abstract: A feed liquid flows into a second-stage humidifier chamber to form a second-stage humidifier bath. A first remnant of the feed liquid from the second-stage humidifier chamber then flows into a first-stage humidifier chamber to form a first-stage humidifier bath having a temperature lower than that of the second-stage bath. A second remnant of the feed liquid is then removed from the first-stage humidifier. Meanwhile, a carrier gas is injected into and bubbled through the first-stage humidifier bath, collecting a vaporizable component in vapor form from the first remnant of the feed liquid to partially humidify the carrier gas. The partially humidified carrier gas is then bubbled through the second-stage humidifier bath, where the carrier gas collects more of the vaporizable component in vapor form from the feed liquid to further humidify the carrier gas before the humidified carrier gas is removed from the second-stage humidifier chamber.

  • Patent number: 11130100
Abstract: An eductor includes an adjustable air inductor assembly connected to a source of outside air or other fluid. As liquid flows through a constricted orifice of the eductor, the venturi effect creates a vacuum or low pressure zone that draws inducting fluid through the inductor assembly and infuses such fluid into the liquid driven or transmitted through the eductor. The fluid inducted liquid is then discharged by the eductor into a body or contained volume of water. Improved aeration and fluid flow control, as well as reduced algae growth are achieved without extraneous mechanical equipment. Increased turbulent liquid flow is produced, for example, to more effectively clean dirt and debris from water recirculating swimming pools, fish tanks and similar environments.

  • Patent number: 11131469
Abstract: A humidifier includes a main body having an air outlet, and a waterproof arrangement including a cover panel coupled on the air outlet, an upper cover detachably coupled on top of the main body, and a cover body disposed below the cover panel to move between a communicating state and a non-communicating state. At the communicating state when the humidifier is operated, the upper cover is coupled at the main body to push down the cover body away from the cover panel to unseal a communicating slot of the cover panel, such that a vent hole of the upper cover is communicated with the air outlet through the communicating slot. At the non-communicating state for cleaning the humidifier, the upper cover is detached from the main body, such that the communicating slot is closed and sealed by the cover body to water-seal the air outlet.

  • Patent number: 11123706
Abstract: A two-stage liquid distribution device for use within an internal region of a mass transfer column to distribute liquid to an underlying mass transfer bed. The two-stage liquid distribution device includes a lower distributor with a lower parting box and lower troughs and an upper distributor with an upper parting box and upper troughs. The lower and upper parting boxes and troughs are enclosed to allow a liquid head in a lower downpipe section and an upper downpipe section that feed liquid to the lower distributor and the upper distributor to cause pressurization of liquid within the lower and upper parting boxes and troughs. The pressurization makes the lower and upper distributors less susceptible to rocking motion of the mass transfer column and reduces any maldistribution of liquid discharged from the lower and upper troughs to the mass transfer bed.

  • Patent number: 11103838
Abstract: A jet injection device that incorporates nanobubbles (ultrafine bubbles) in a mist includes: a two-fluid nozzle configured from a circular nozzle outer cylinder and an air connection tube integrally and perpendicularly connected to the nozzle outer cylinder; a nanobubble generation device that supplies the nozzle outer cylinder of the two-fluid nozzle with high-pressure nanobubble water; and a compressor that supplies the air connection tube of the two-fluid nozzle with high-pressure air. The gas-injected bubble water generated from the nanobubble generation device is pressure-fed to the nozzle outer cylinder of the two-fluid nozzle, and compressed air from the compressor is pressure-fed to the air connection tube of the two-fluid nozzle. In the two-fluid nozzle, the high-pressure gas-injected bubble water and the compressed air serve as a gas-liquid fluid mixture, and are injected at a high speed in mist form from a nozzle cylinder of the two-fluid nozzle.

  • Patent number: 11079124
Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to a whole-house humidifier system including one or more evaporative, unpowered, vertical-air humidifiers. Each humidifier includes a plurality of element sleeves suspended by flat support panels above a built-in water reservoir. The bottom tabs of the reservoir are inserted into the floor register opening for location. The system also includes a cover with windows along a top edge that control the direction of air exiting the system. The position of the cover is controlled by its fit to the outside edges of the water reservoir. A dedicated water supply feeds water through a float valve to control the water level in the reservoir. The element sleeves can easily be cleaned but require no external air duct since air flows up through the center of the humidifier.
