  • Patent number: 10701518
Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamically maintaining and utilizing walking profiles for time estimations in service scheduling are provided. A networked system detects usage of an application on a user device. In response to the detecting, the networked system accesses environmental condition data at a location associated with a user of the user device, whereby the environmental condition data comprises one or more environmental condition affecting the location. The networked system accesses walking pace data from the user device, whereby the walking pace data represents a current walking pace of the user and correlates the walking pace data with the environmental condition data. Using the correlated data, the networked system adjusts a parameter in a walking profile of the user. The walking profile is then used to determine time estimates that are used to schedule services that require walking by a user.

  • Patent number: 10659999
Abstract: A wireless terminal can communicate with two radio access networks (RAN) (304, 306) of different types. The wireless terminal can register simultaneously with a RAN of the first type and a RAN of the second type and can wirelessly connect to a RAN of either the first type or the second type in a connected state. The wireless terminal when registered with both a first RAN and a second RAN and when wirelessly connected to the first RAN in the connected state, receives a mobility signal via the first RAN indicating a RAN of the second type and, in response to receiving the mobility signal and in response to being so registered with the first RAN and second RAN, transmits an access trigger signal (417). The access trigger signal indicates that the wireless terminal is to be connected to the second RAN in the connected state.

  • Patent number: 10652806
Abstract: Transmitting a probe signal. A method includes transmitting a signal, having a predetermined total power, during a transmit cycle. The signal has a traffic channel transmitting user data and a probe channel to locate new nodes to add to the network. The transmit channel uses a first portion of the total power and the probe channel uses a second portion of the total power. The method further includes performing a probe cycle by lowering the power in the first portion of the total power and raising the power in the second portion of the total power, but maintaining the total power at the same level as the total power during the transmit cycle. The method further includes, after the probe cycle, raising the power in the first portion of the total power and lowering the power in the second portion of the total power.
