  • Patent number: 9934313
Abstract: Methods, systems, and techniques for creating, managing, and using query templates to facilitate the execution of relationship queries are provided. Example embodiments provide a Query Template System “QTS”, which enables users, a system, program code, or other people or code to define search tips (i.e., predefined searches) through the generation of query templates that can be used by other users or code, to perform relationship searches using IQL. In one embodiment, the QTS includes a QT editor, a QT dispatcher, a QT creation and index management system, and one or more QT data repositories and indexes. These components cooperate to create and maintain query templates and to search for and retrieve matching query templates. This abstract is provided to comply with rules requiring an abstract, and it is submitted with the intention that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Patent number: 9934223
Abstract: A computerized method and apparatus is disclosed for merging content segments from a number of discrete media content (e.g., audio/video podcasts) in preparation for playback. The method and apparatus obtain metadata corresponding to a plurality of discrete media content. The metadata identifies the content segments and their corresponding timing information, such that the metadata of at least one of the plurality of discrete media content is derived using one or more media processing techniques. A number of the content segments are selected to be merged for playback using the timing information from the metadata. The merged media content can be implemented as a playlist identifying the content segments to be merged for playback. The merged media content can also be generated by extracting the content segments to be merged for playback from each of the media files/streams and then merging the extracted segments into one or more merged media files/streams.

Abstract: Displaying contact-related information is disclosed. An association between a contact address not specific to a source of contact-related information and an identity of an entity at the source of contact-related information may be determined. Information representing the association between the contact address and the identity of the entity at the source of contact-related information is stored. The information representing the association is stored at a node associated with a service configured to use the information representing the association to retrieve from the source of contact-related information a response data associated with the entity in response to an expression of interest in a contact with which the contact address is associated.

  • Patent number: 9922361
Abstract: Users may create and/or interact with content that may reference various businesses. For example, a user may submit a search query “Akron Hardware Store” to a search interface that may provide relevant search results for the search query. As provided herein, content suggestions may be provided to the user based upon an occurrence of a business reference of a business. For example, search keywords that resulted in user engagement with the business may be evaluated to identify a set of search keywords (e.g., search queries that led users to an Akron Hardware Store website). A set of content suggestions (e.g., coupons, maps, search queries, website links, images, descriptions, etc.) may be generated based upon the set of search keywords, and may be provided to the user.

  • Patent number: 9910881
Abstract: A system may implement maintaining control plane data versions for a network-based service control plane. Various control plane actions may be performed which create new versions of control plane data that may be maintained for the control plane in a database. Some of these actions may be performed by multiple actors creating new versions of the same control plane data. For a particular control plane action, a new version number may be obtained to include in a new version of control plane data, and a conditional write request may be performed to insert the new version of control plane data at the database as part of an optimistic concurrency technique in order to maintain consistency for control plane data.

  • Patent number: 9892006
Abstract: A method of communicating data in a node cluster of a data grid. The method includes receiving, at a listener of a first node, data from a second node that is filtered using the filter during a search query of a node cluster. The method further includes determining, at the listener, that a third node has joined the node cluster during the search query. The method further includes communicating the filter the third node joining the node cluster in response to the third node joining the cluster. The method further includes receiving memory entry data from the third node. The method further includes determining, at the listener, search results using the filtered data and queued data from the second node and the memory entry data from the from the third node.

  • Patent number: 9892185
Abstract: The consistency of a data structure is maintained where changes in the form of atomic operations are requested by more than one user to an object graph containing a plurality of objects. Operational transformations specifying how one atomic operation is transformed against another one are accessed and the object graph is modified with the first and second set of changes by employing the operational transformations on the atomic operations and applying the resulting transformed operations to the object graph. The transformed operations are recorded in a history log. The atomic operations are object operations that create or delete an object of the object graph and/or property operations changing a property of an object. Each operation retains the identifier of the object it acts on and information on each change of the object resulting from the operation. Multi-operation conflicts are resolved by defined conflict resolution events.

  • Patent number: 9892164
Abstract: A request for data is processed by identifying data within a data store satisfying the request, where an amount of the identified data exceeds a threshold, analyzing the identified data to produce an initial result set with a reduced amount of data including information summarizing the identified data, and generating one or more succeeding result sets each from a corresponding prior result set until a succeeding result set includes an amount of data satisfying the threshold. Each succeeding result set includes a reduced amount of data relative to the corresponding prior result set, and generating each succeeding result set includes filtering the corresponding prior result set and generating the succeeding result set including information summarizing the filtered result set.

  • Patent number: 9875299
Abstract: A system and method for identifying relevant search results via an index is provided. A search query is received. A semantic representation of query substructures and a list of key terms is generated for the query. Each key term includes a term in the search query or a term related to the query. An inverted index having key terms each associated with a semantic representation and a link to a source reference is accessed. The inverted index is queried using a subset of key terms. A result set for the subset key terms is identified within the inverted index. Each result is scored and a subset of the result set is identified as retrieval candidates based on the scoring. One or more of the retrieval candidates are selected based on a comparison of the query semantic representation with the semantic representations for the retrieval candidates.

  • Patent number: 9858276
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-program products are described for determining current location information which includes determining whether an object is moving by comparing the current location information with previous location information. Future location information is calculated and a point of interest is filtered using the future location information. A media asset is then matched to the filtered point of interest and a current score is determined for the matched media asset. Determining a current score includes determining a window in which the matched media asset is geographically relevant to the future location information, and updating the matched media asset score when the future location information changes. An ordered playlist is dynamically generated according to the future location information by repeatedly prioritizing and sequencing matched media assets according to the current score for each matched media asset, and matched media assets are played or displayed in the ordered playlist.

  • Patent number: 9852187
Abstract: Computer systems and methods incorporate user annotations (metadata) regarding various pages or sites, including annotations by a querying user and by members of a trust network defined for the querying user into search and browsing of a corpus such as the World Wide Web. A trust network is defined for each user, and annotations by any member of a first user's trust network are made visible to the first user during search and/or browsing of the corpus. Users can also limit searches to content annotated by members of their trust networks or by members of a community selected by the user.
