Abstract: Systems and methods for a computer-based process that determines when a viewer is likely to skip over supplemental content and adjusts supplemental content presentation to compensate. Systems of embodiments of the disclosure may utilize various inputs to determine the likelihood of skipping supplemental content, including cursor position at or near specified icons or other UI elements, as well as user actions such as gaze direction, various motions or actions, controller manipulations, and the like. Once a likelihood of skipping supplemental content is determined, various actions may be taken in response, including without limitation selection of supplemental content that conveys its intended message prior to skipping, supplemental content that can be played at increased speed, and designation of supplemental content slots as skippable or non-skippable.

The system receives a request for Wi-Fi settings at a premises, identifies customer equipment associated with the premises, identifies an Wi-Fi SSID (Service Set Identification) and password associated with the customer equipment, generates a QR (Quick Response) code representing the Wi-Fi SSID and password, sends the QR code to one or more devices associated with the premises for display and subsequent scanning at the premises.

Abstract: A media content packaging and distribution system that generates a plurality of disparate live media output streams to be viewed on a plurality of consumer devices, receives a programming schedule for a channel from a network scheduler. The programming schedule corresponds to a first manifest associated with a first pre-encoded media asset. Information related to a plurality of media segments from the first pre-encoded media asset indicated in the first manifest is inserted into a live output stream manifest. Transition occurs between first media segments of the plurality of media segments from a first data source to second media segments of the plurality of media segments from a second data source, different from the first data source, where the transition is based on additional information. Based on the transition, a disparate live media output stream is generated for a channel viewable on a consumer device via a media player.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a system by which content/service providers can enable gaze-responsive advertisement/targeted content mechanisms for CPE devices like STB's/OTT streaming devices or systems or display devices. The system creates a new opportunity for content/service providers to advertise and helps in generating revenue. The system leverages using gaze-based technology in CPE devices like STB's or large display devices. A gaze-based algorithm helps the CPE devices to locate the viewer point of attention, using which gaze-responsive advertisement/content targeting can be achieved. The disclosure provides an end to end solution—from content creation to content consumption for gaze-responsive advertisement/media delivery.

The system may employ methods to determine where a user is located within the home, availability and selection of candidate game hosting and target environments, homing and direction of related I/O and audio-visual (AV) content for consumption. The solution accommodates multiple users simultaneously within the home, whether in single player, multiplayer using the same screen, or multiplayer using separate screen games. Abstract: A system and method to tag portions of a video with an access-control-list (ACL) for those periods of time (e.g., video segments, series of video frames, etc.) within a video that require elevated permission to view or access is provided. At playback time, the access-control-list is dynamically enforced in real-time to ensure that a user viewing or editing the video has permissions to view upcoming portions of the video. When a user has insufficient permission to view a portion of the video, a filler frame, blurred content or blank frame is displayed in the place of the actual video content. Audio may also be muted or beeped out during the periods of the video for which there is insufficient permissions.

Content data based on a low-bitrate-encoded image and data of an image of a transformation matrix in a neural network which is model data for obtaining an image close to an original image from the low-bitrate-encoded image are transmitted to the viewer terminal from the video image content distribution server. These data are used by the viewer terminal to obtain improved video image content.
